Why do girls dance with each other in clubs and other areas, but guys don't?

I am curious as to why guys don't generally dance with each other.

I reading this POV from a guy who said that he just thought girls dance with each other to cocktease guys, and he seemed frustrated because the girls were more interested in dancing with their friends than guys.

But I think it's common for women to dress up nicely for themselves and go to clubs to dance with friends. The reason is... they just want to dance and have fun. In my experience, this was the same with or without guys. During high school, there were a lot of girls that danced with each other at my school even if the guys ignored them. And in an all girls atmosphere (where that's an all girls school or a religious thing), the girls also dance with each other like that. It's usually not about the guys at all.

They are straight, and it's not sexual. It's very platonic, but I'm wondering if... it's only sexual for guys.

A guy-guy (friend) relationship is often founded on making fun of the other one by (not too harshly) insult him. It's indeed rare for a guy to say "he's my best friend". If anything, "my bro" or stuff like that. Simply seeing too much affection between two guys makes them look as gay when they aren't.
Girls are instead much more lovey-dovey with their female friends, and something like that wouldn't bother anyone (it's not rare to see two girls kissing on the mouth when they aren't lesbian).

As for me, I don't care. When I go to dance, as long as it doesn't involve hugging and stuff, I don't mind dancing near my friends: it's tons of fun and you can have an opinion on the next girl to hit on.

For girls, dancing is just dancing. Whether it's more sexy dancing or not, there are platonic feelings. It's not looked upon like... a turn on? A lot of girls dance with each other, but they don't feel turned on by it. The feeling is like shaking hands with someone.

I'm not sure why girls like dancing so much. It's just fun to dance with the music, surrounded by friends, people who you like. Very social. It's stress relieving. You don't have to be anyone else when you're with your friends. You're with people who accept you, and you just dance to the beat.

Attention: just because everything sexually excites you, doesn't mean that was its intention.

Girls like to dance and have fun. Guys think everything is sexual. Therefore dancing with each other is sexual.

Dancing, in clubs at least, is perceived as a semi-sexual act in the publics eyes, it is much more acceptable for women to be sexual with another women so it's normal, but if you saw two guys dancing like that together you can't deny that you would have the thought that they might be gay. It's a sad truth but still the truth.
