Why do straight boys have such terrible fashion sense?

Because I really just don't care. I don't have the pretty body that comes from a gym somewhere eating special diets. I've got the kind of body that comes with a life time of hard work and the kind of high octane food it takes to fuel a body for those long miserable days, and I don't respect people whose idea of a hard day is getting yelled at by some office weenie boss or whose biggest concern is whether or not they're wearing the latest fashions. That being said, my clothes are loose fitting, comfy, and uncompromisingly utilitarian, because I'm not dressing up to impress people whose opinions don't matter, even in their own lives. If a woman can't see through the scars, busted knuckles, and grease to realize I'll be a hard worker until the day I die, the kind of guy who will give everything he has for his family and will never, ever give up, then I don't want her anyway, no matter what she looks like or how she dresses.

I'm one of the straight, well-dressed guys so I would say they very lazy, I will wear a button down shirt to school every day so it just depends on who you are (on the other hand I also am bullied a lot so, as my best friend Kamil says, "choose your battles"

Sad thing is, I enjoy learning:) I have recently learned to:
1) play the violin
2) write in calligraphy
3) make a feather quill
4) properly use oil paints
You get the point and I'd rather be well-dressed, proper mannered, caring, and bullied than poorly dressed, horribly mannered, hateful, and excepted by the people that are dressing horribly

Depends on where you live. I'm from NYC and some straight men have horrible style, but many are also very well dressed.

You're a kid though, so thats different. Most teenage girls don't have great fashion sense either though, imo.

Because fashion is entirely subjective, so trying to mold yourself to fit a certain person's idea of fashion is only going to make others think you look like an idiot.

Because people wear whatever they feel comfortable wearing, which in turn makes them feel more confident.

Because an outfit that looks good on one person may not look good on another.

Because teenagers often dress the way they do as a means of expressing identity rather than looking fashionable.

I'm straight and I have no problems looking good I wear fitted jeans nice leather belts, nice shoes, solid colored fitted shirts and long sleeve shirts. Some nice button downs some Aran sweaters and Irish fisherman's sweaters, cardigans and flat caps, WWII replica pilot leather jacket with the pinup art on the back, college wool jacket as well as some nicer clothes like my grandfathers vintage brown corduroy evening jacket and my three piece suit with matching fedora and a box of my grandfathers vintage gold cuff links, tie clips and other accessories as well as my grandfathers vintage gold and diamond ring and his vintage steel and gold watch. I certianly do not dress in saggy pants and snap backs.

i have never not once wore a snap back or saggy jeans and i personally find to where those articles of clothing in such a manner is self degrading. Why do boy's were it because we no longer live in a world that teaches true self respect and honor, and a part of that is dressing properly with dignity.

those that would make the excuse that it is for comfort and that they work so hard that they dress for that comfort are simply in my opinion making excuses for themselves to be less respectful to themselves. I have worked construction, paved roads, electrical, plumbing, land clearing, logging, gardening, wood working, metal fab, my hands are callused, and my knees are ashed yet i still dress with honor and respect for myself there is no excuse.

there is nothing wrong with wearing a hat but some of the hats out there much like the snap back is extremely to costly for the reality that i has no practical use beyond covering the sun from ones eyes. I have friends that have many and they not even dare let there hat fall to the ground because of the cost and the worth they put in to something as trivial as a material item. That in my opinion is degrading to the hard work one puts in to themselves when one treasures a hat more than they treasure themselves that is where i have issue and that is why in many cases i call it degrading to ones self.

that all being said every one has there own choice in what to where and how to where it so i try my best to not care about how people dress and try not to judge on it just because someone choses to dress or care about something that i don't dose not mean in any way that they are lazy, or ill mannered, or rude, or stupid in any way and i still try my best to respect someones decision even if it is not what i would chose for myself. the only issue i have is when people make excuses for how they dress if they simply said they dress that way because that is how they choose to dress i respect there choice how ever i do not like the excuses people make about there choices because the excuses are not needed to make a simple choice.

Actually the majority of guys don't dress like that, you must live in an area where it's common though. I have I guess semi questionable fashion but it's because I'm in a punk/metal band so I dress either in slim jeans with a belt and either an unbuttoned shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a tie or a shirt from one of my favorite bands

Some people don't try to sag at all but it looks like it because of their body type, generally the muscular and ones with large thigh muscles. Though, the ones who do sag intentionally and you can see their boxers and shit, they probably aren't very well mannered and probably think its "cool". Though, don't just a person from what they wear or dress like, you'd be surprised some dress like a ghetto, but also turn out to be a very polite and smart person.

I wear snap backs but not saggy pants. Using I'm wearing a snap back, a nice Polo and some jeans or cargo shorts depending on the weather. Sometimes a hoodoo or a long sleeve shirt.
