+1 yIt depends on the context he uses it in. If its something he doesn't agree with he's probably being sarcastic. If its something legit amazing (like being good at dance or gymnastics or an instrument etc.) he's being friendly. If he says it about shit that doesn't really matter... maby but probably not. For a guy to say your amazing and it mean something more he's saying he loves you A LOT. So unless he's made that clear already or you guys are in a relationship, he probably didn't mean it like that.

Asker+1 yUmm... it wasn't sarcastic. It wasn't for anything special, really. For example, one day I expressed my thoughts regarding the kind of relationship I want, then he called me Amazing and different! :) And he sometimes uses it randomly for me.
- +1 y
Well if you like him go for it but you can't hang whether he likes you on a single word. Focus more on how he acts when he's around you.
Asker+1 yI don't know it's confusing... :/ I don't want to take a step without being a bit sure. He flirts with me, and he teases me and he said that he likes talking to me. But I don't know anything else, really.
- +1 y
Well then your just blind cause that means he likes you. Go get em ;)
Asker+1 yLol... I would try to make the first move.

Asker+1 yUmm.. we are close friends

I'd also have to know the context in which he's saying this.
Asker+1 yUmm... he randomly uses it for me. For example, one day I expressed my thoughts regarding the kind of relationship I want, then he called me Amazing and different! :) And he uses it praise my talent at times.

He's testing the waters. The question is, "do you like him 'more than just a friend'?"
Asker+1 yUmm.. yes, I do.
- +1 y
Seriously, ask him out on a date then. As time goes on, you'll learn to cherish the things you did vs trying to go to the "what if's" in life.
Asker+1 yI am not afraid of making the first move, but I want to be sure that he at least likes me before taking such a step.

There is nothing 100% in this life. I realize that this might be getting a bit more philosophical then you intended. I've realized some things in the past few months, that if I knew then, what I know now, I would have asked the gal out even without knowing the response. As a result, who knows when I'll see her again and if she still single.
Good for you on being willing on making the first step.
Asker+1 yYou are saying right. Thanks! :D
That term is reserved for sex. when he is an amaing lover.

+1 yAmazing is an amazing word because amazingly it amazes me how amazed women get amazed when they are called amazing.
I only call women amazing when:
I want to sleep with them
Have slept with them and the sex was great
They gave me amazing hand job or blow job
When the relationship is on the rocks, calling her amazing changes everything04 Reply
Asker+1 yLol XD This is the most entertaining answer I have read till now :P

some say in many ways I am the architect of GirlsAskGuys, essentially, with time, being an illusion, I was answering GAG questions even before GAG was created, the very fact that I was answering questions on GAG before its invention is the reason why there was a time warp, a sort of time ripple, causing spacetime to go backwards in time and giving GAG creators the idea of creating this forum. I have, always, existed... my answers... extend... beyond time...
It must mean you have an amazing personality. I recently met a girl and I find myself calling her amazing all the time just because of how she is. She doesn't necessarily do anything special , I simply just like how she is and I find her rather amazing.

+1 yhe finds you amazing. he is pretty enthusiastic. it could be something more, but that's all it is, it could mean. I called a girl amazing a few times and I totally send the wrong signals and I fucking regret it lol. she told me she works out and does squats and deadlifts and I was like you're so amazing, totally took it the wrong way hahaa

Asker+1 yOh well... your response broke my heart :'( I wish it can be something more than that.

well im just being realistic, I don't want to build your hopes up with false hope. I didn't like the girl but she ended up developing feelings for me because I said she was amazing. I learnt my lesson, instead of amazing im gonna start using awesome lol
Asker+1 ylol... he has called me, amazing, awesome AND different :P
- +1 y
hahaa. okay im just gonna call a girl nice then. pretty bland and generic lol
Asker+1 ylmfoa XD That would make her realize that she's in friendzone. :P
- +1 y

+1 ySee if he calls anyother girl amazing.
Usually when I call a girl amazing, it mean I really find them amazing04 Reply
Asker+1 yI really don't think he complements people much. He says that he praises people very rarely :P
- +1 y
Then he must be trying to tell you something. Just keep true to yourself, don't iverthink and let things happen :)
Asker+1 yThanks for your response.

No problem
I call my crush amazing because I think she is so different from other girls and the only word that fits is amazing, I also say it because i really like her so I guess your guy"friend" could want more than friendship :P

Asker+1 yHmm.. it could be anything :I
Asker+1 yYes, I do. As I have mentioned in one of my comments, I want to be sure before taking a step. He flirts with me, teases me and likes talking to me, but that's all I know.
Because you amaze him! Anything beyond that is speculation. It's hard to say whether it's friendly or he wants something more.
