My boyfriend started selling drugs?

He has friends who do, but kind of got away from that stuff when we started going out 4 months ago, he texts me "good morning beautiful" or something sweet every morning, he is a really good boyfriend too me. But since his cousin started dealing, he wants to make extra cash selling coke. Just today him and I were supposed to chill and he cancels last minute, obviously sincerely apologetic, but he cancelled because he had to start selling tonight and I didn't even know the reason until he called, like you're ditching your girlfriend last minute when she ready waiting for you who you don't get to see often to sell drugs. I was so pissed, he is a sweet guy who loves me a lot, but the kind of girl I am would not stay with a guy like that ever. He said it's temporary, but I don't want to be associated with a guy like that but I love him also, I have no idea what I should do?

Coke is a big deal. The addiction breaks up families and makes people desperate. I know because I was in group therapy who had former addicts, though that is not why I was there. These poor people had their minds screwed up so bad that they lost their sense of reality, their sense of control, and sometimes their sense of right and wrong. To support such habits by participating in the drug trade, I'm sorry but that is not a good person. And worse, coke covers some dangerous territory. My cousin had a neighbor who was found buried in concrete, he was beheaded. At a friends school, a girl was killed and her body was found stuffed with drugs. And close to the border their are some ponds that get drained every so often so that the bodies can be removed. I live Southern California, fortunately in a good area. But even such a nice neighborhood cannot be protected from the harsh realities of the drug trade. You need to break it off with him in my opinion, for your safety as well as for your conscience.

Oh and is the kid who works at the corner shop selling alcohol a horrible disgusting drug dealer too? Haven't you seen the figures for the amount of deaths caused by alcohol per year? That drugs's socially acceptable though so I suppose it's alright.

Dude, what are you like 12? You can't even make a valid argument. People may choose to do drugs and yes that is there choice, but the biggest difference between drugs and alcohol is that drugs are ILLEGAL. Alcohol us easy to manufacture and easy to get. Drugs need to be made, grown, manufactured. And in that process INNOCENT people are affected. To manufacture alcohol, workers get paid, they choose to work. Families are not ripped apart or affected. And FYI studies have shown that drugs, like coke and meth, are far more addicting than alcohol and more damaging. DoraLikesSugar, sugar? You do coke yourself? If so I would get some help before you end up on a 50/50 hold hearing voices and have to do electric therapy every 4 hours. I had the privilege of meeting people with such addictions

@Nicole9356 Those innocent people live in developing countries where if they weren't involved in cocaine production, they'd be doing something else just as bad. Drugs aren't to blame for that. Blame their government and the cartels who are responsible for their shitty standard of living.
You're getting off point anyway. The OP's boyfriend will be selling a few grams of coke here and there, he's not fucking Scarface.
And yeah, I do like cocaine. I've been using cocaine (and an abundance of other drugs) for years and I'm fine. It's called self control. You can go put your fingers in your ears, close your eyes and keep living in your fantasy world.

DoraLikesSugar, no you aren't fine. Your drugs use has affected your sense of what is acceptable and what is not. Poor countries? Have you done research? Even in the states in areas considered well off, people are affected. I wasn't going to share this story but I'll make an exception for you. My sister, my friend, and myself were 11 years old when we discovered a coke stash in a sprinkler sisters. We were trying catch lizards and were exploring the bank behind our condominium complex. We lived in a very safe and desirable middle to upper class neighborhood. The next day a man in a red car with tinted windows tried to kidnap us while playing outside our house. Thankfully people came outside to see what was going on and the man took off. Later that year we found that drug dealers lived 5 units from us. Obviously they are not there anymore, but really? Innocent people? My sister and were kids. Have you ever been to rehab? You'll here some horror stories there. I have 7 addicts in my

family. 5 out of he 7 are dead, one was murders. All of them started with weed, over the years by graduated to bigger drugs. One I them, who used coke had holes in his brain. Another you used coke, speed, weed, and Evdveliped schizophrenia and tried to kill himself form all he voice he heard. My cousin was drugged and raped when she was 13. Hmmm and you are trying to prove what point again? You have no valid argument and the fact that I'm even arguing with someone who is so mentally unstable is even worse... get sine help my friend. Before you end up dead. Get yourself into a good rehab facility and get the help you need. Use all the resources you can. Not all drug dealers are bad I don't know if the consequences are really serious where ever you live but a lot of people need to get by someway. For example before biggie and tupac became famous they both sold drugs and if you listen to Tupacs Dear Mama he explains that he did it to help his single mother out so you never know. Don't automatically put a label on him for doing what he has to, not everybody has it easy. Hope this works 😃

Well I know a lot of people who sell drugs and I've even sold drugs in the past. It was merely a means of making extra money and I never let it interfere with my life or relationships. Your boyfriend needs to understand that it's not okay to blow you off so he can go sell coke, because that's putting you second. You need to talk to him about this.
