What does it mean when your boyfriend accidentally calls you friend?

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years now and he has never called me friend. He used to call me that before we started dating. Now the other day, we were talking and he called me friend. It was weird. I know it’s a small think but lately he has been spending a lot of time with these new people from his new job and he seems very much attached to them and talks about them all the time. There are a few girls in the group that he started hanging out with as well. Should I be worried or am I making a big deal out of nothing? When I mentioned this to him he laughed and said it was an honest mistake.

It may be was an honest mistake, but it doesn't change that he is changing a bit toward you.

So my advice is this. It is to talk to him, no emotion or i should say drama, but a heartfelt talk.

You tell him that you need him to listen to you, that this may be nothing, but you need him to listen. Then tell him that you sense he is changing toward you. Explain that you love him and are his best friend too. But that you REALLY need to know if he still feels the same or not. Tell him that you want the best for him but you alao need to protect you. And that he owes you that respect of telling you the truth.

This could be scary and he might say aomwthing you don't want to hear, but you will know. Or it could be in turn nothing but brings you closed together because you were able to have a heart to heart

He can only accuse you of being over the top If you get dramatic. Also if he gets up set about this and you aren't being dramatic, then that tells you something too.
