What does it mean when one of his friends calls you his boyfriend?

I was at a dance the other night. The guy I like is with his close friends. I'm close with his friends and I was talking to his friends. One of his friends pretended to kiss another guy and I was looking at that guy he said "What are you looking at." I shrugged my shoulders and said something. The guy I like was on his phone sending a picture to his friend. The guy said "Your literally blanks girlfriend!" He said and then he repeated it again. The guy I like smiled I also smiled. I shrugged it off. What did his friend mean by that?

That was him being a wing man for the guy you like. It's a way for you to find out the guy you like, likes you. It's something people do when they are to shy to confess it themselves but want the person they like to know how they feel. Doing it this way gives the guy you like a way to deny he likes you if the feelings are not reciprocated because he didn't actually say anything.
