Why do unattractive guys do this?

Why is that quite many (at least those i know) girls get approach by so many guys that they don't find attractiv? I mean 99% of the guys that show interest in my are guys i dont find physical attractive. I dont get it? My sister and my friends have all experienced that the guys that show intrest are unattractive guys. I know that one reason that some girls might feel this is because they think they are in a "higher league" or something, but that doe really not count for ever woman. I know that im not super hot or pretty, im just above average (according to the app "hot or not") + i get attention from guys. So i dont think im super hot, but i dont get why so many unappealig guys approach me (not necessarly ugly guys, just not attractive). Its not like attractive guys dont show any intrest, but it happebs very rare compared to unattractive guys approaching me. Anyone that have a theory that can answer my question? Like i said, it happens to my friends and my sisters too.

Women report 80% of guys as less than average attractiveness. Chances are that they're average guys.

Like any system that rates pictures, women's pictures are rated higher than is realistic, and guys' are rated lower than is realistic. You're probably more average than you think.

The reason guys are approaching you is because you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. The reason you're "out of their league" is because your self-image is probably overly high, and your standards for men are also overly high.

Statistically, most people are average. That probably includes you. If you're being approached all the time by average guys, it's probably because you're average yourself.

hmm.. that answers my question! but that means that i can only get the not so goodlooking guys... But since im just average i dont realy expect anything different. But the problem with these not so goodlooking guys is that some, actually quite many of them, act weird, or demaning etc. So they dont have the personality to compensate with them not being very attractive too me. So i bascily can get the either cling guy that looks "meh" or the doucbag guy that also looks "meh". I have to be singel for a while i guess... And no, im not super pretty and i dont have a great personality, but i give the not so goodlooking guys (in my eyes) a change to see if i like them better. But every time they give me a chance to not want to talk with them anymore. by the way i never said i was "out of their league" and i have low selfesteem and som serious condifentc issues, so i can assure you its not my "overly hight self image" thats a problem

Sounds like you're way up your own ass, to put it bluntly. To be upset with guys for committing the sin of being unattractive is akin to being upset with someone for being born with a certain skin color. Guys can't help what they look like for the most part. You should actually be flattered that anyone was attracted to you in the first place.

It's girls like you who ensure that most girls hardly get approached at all. You reject guys who are interested in a bitchy way (a safe assumption based on the tone of your question) and they start to believe that they can't win and shouldn't even try. That's why GAG is rife with "why doesn't he approach me" questions from frustrated girls.

First of all if a guy do approach me ( even if i dont find him attractive) i would never be rude or disrespectful towards him. I will show intrest in what he's saying (unless he's being sexual or rude) and politely say im not interested if he asks me out or something similar. Second of all im not "upset" about it, im just genually interested in why i might not attract the guys i want, which are nice (not pushovers or horny guys only trying to get laid) cute guys. And i always give guys a chance ( unless im almost repulsed by their looks), but the truth about the matter is that they don't have personality either (most of the time).

I think you need to reevaluate the tone of your original posting. You sound very judgmental and condescending in that post, like you're actually upset that guys who aren't "cute" by your standards would have the temerity to ask you out. That's an entitled mindset. You don't *deserve* to have hot guys approach you, anymore than you deserve a genius grant from the MacArthur Foundation.

Be happy that anyone is approaching you, and realize that no one makes a stellar impression in the first 2 minutes of conversation. Only the most studied con artists come across as suave, so try to break through the top layer of crap and figure out what kinds of guys these are rather than assessing them strictly by their looks. Your looks may not be all that anyway, so be careful who you turn your nose up at.

Because hot guys usually go for hot girls. You are not hot therefore you get the guys in the bottom threshold. Plus there are more average-ugly men in the world than attractive men.

So called unattractive guys need to be proactive because hot chicks like yourself? won't fall in their lap. If they did they would be single, and very frustrated. Hot guys if you will, have more options, and won't need to come to you because it. So next time Toad Boy approaches you, just know he is just trying to survive, politely turn him down and walk away.

At your age you have a 3-5 year window. Better change that perception if the good looking and successful men aren't coming to you now in your physical prime because in 3-5 years that window is, basically, over. People will be pissed that I said this but it's nearly 100% true in most cases for men. There is always.. ALWAYS a better and younger good looking girl coming off the plane to replace the one who believes herself to be more important than she is.

In my experience, it's easier for men to judge women's attractiveness than men's attractiveness (including their own). It simply could be that the guys don't realize you will find them unattractive?
