Why do guys find it attractive when girls have better, more expensive things than other girls?

Question

I feel like everyone with more money is higher up on the social ladder than well off people. Everyone who gets asked out is on the top. Most of them have horrible personalities and treat others like crap though. It makes me mad because I'm putting my money towards collage and other things. Not expensive clothes and designer brands. Don't get me wrong, I shop a lot for clothes, makeup, and shoes. I just don't know why everything has to be about money these days.

Money matters so so much! I'm not saying it because I feel it., but it's the truth. If they have more money, than they can buy prettier things and they can take better care of themselves because beauty products cost money. Guys may argue that image doesn't matter, but we all know that they would choose the girl that looks like she takes care of herself over the chubby girl that is dule. Poor girls have learned to be satisfied with their boyish life, after all uglier clothes is cheaper. Rich girls can spend more money on other people which makes them look nicer than girls that can't afford things for others. Guys want someone that is strong, beautiful, and rare, rich girls know their value, but poor girls don't. Poor girls don't know how beautiful they really are so they devalue themselves despite the fact that they are just as beautiful as any other girl.

They might be just gold diggers so be careful i used to have a boyfriend like that i used to shower him with gifts until i realized he never gave me at least one thing

eh, when i was in hs it wasn't really like that. it had more to do with weather or not the girl was hot not if she had money. most men i know and knew back then didn't give a rats ass how much money she had. all he cared about was how she looked and how hard it was going to be to get laid. most men don't care about designer clothes. a nice dress or a pair of jeans and a tee shirt is often time one of the most attractive looks on a girl. if a girl is running around in really expensive clothes it's a sign that she is gonna cost me a lot of money that i don't have to date so i'm a little hesitant on that stuff

Haha what guys have you been hanging around with? If I see a girl having expensive stuff like everything high class. I think either high maintenance' or if she doesn't have a very good paying job but still buys expensive stuff like Louie Viton and whatever I think Gold-digger.

I see a girl with expensive taste and my first thought is "any gift I have to get her will need to be expensive". I prefer girls with good style but doesn't need name brands to look good. The funny thing is 95% of guys can't tell when a girl has a 15$ purse or a 500$ purse.

Men typically do not see a girl with expensive things and assume that she must be pretty good. Men see a girl with expensive things and see "high maintenance" or "gold digger." We do not see your $1000 purse as a sign of good taste, or high class, but as wasteful and stupid.

I really don't care much about a woman's financial situation as long as she shows passion towards something in her life and wants to work towards it. Honestly if I see a young woman with a lot of expensive things I assume she was raised and accustomed to a high maintenance lifestyle that I don't desire to live. Honestly it turns me off towards a woman..

At your age... yes the preppy kids get lots of dick, they are the popular, smart, "perfect" girls and their flaws are usually overlooked no matter how big. Don't worry after you get out of school men mature and don't judge girls off their popularity or how nice their clothes are. It does help however but brains becomes a greater focus for most men.

It's not the money, its the sign of success, and it goes both ways. However, it often gets to a persons head so they go for vanity which is really a huge turn off for me.
