We were talking about something and he said he loved me and said I was his future wife, what does that mean?

My then bf did once asked me (without any ring) if I would marry him within only the 3rd month of the relationship. Afterwards, once in a while he would say how he wanted to marry me. Honestly, it felt sooo awkward and out of place.

Thanks goodness he's my ex. Exes are exes for a reason. I don't see marriage as my main goal and even if we had stayed together longer, I still don't think I would have wanted to marry him.
