Why is my boyfriend such a Debbie downer?

Don't get me wrong I love my boyfriend, but he can be a bit of a pessimist sometimes, it can be really difficult for me to get him excited about something. I just wish I can get him to be excited about life and have fun. I just want him to be happy.

A lot of times when I'm being a "debbie downer" it's because I'm going through some internal emotional shit that I don't know how to cope or handle or put into words, so I tend to be outwardly negative because I'm inwardly frustrated with myself. Just something for you to ponder.

Be spontaneous and fun! :) Do something silly when you're in public with him or say silly things. Do things you would think make you smile, at the same time do things to show him how much you really care. Lol, like baby talk him and pinch his cheeks or something of that manner.

It's not that we don't get excited about life, we just have the most fun pointing out what's wrong rather than what's right. And some people don't like sushi.

Think about it:

Being in a relationship with someone who I actually want to be with would make me happy and enthusiastic.
