I'm dating with an American guy who didn't say he loves me yet. He just said I like you, but once he said to me Goodnight love. What does it mean?

Since you mentioned you are dating an American guy, are you something else? IF British for instance, I know a lot of brits say 'love", so he may have just been trying to be funny...
