What does Love you lots mean?

My guy friend always says he loves me and today he texted me love you lots is that a normal friend thing or more. My friends keep telling me he likes me & we should go out but I don't know. What do you think?

it really depends on how long you guys have been friends. if you have been friends for a year or more he's probably just saying that to show how good of friends you guys are. unless you just got out of a relationship with someone you have been dating for a long time. then he might just be trying to get with you cause he knows your available. if you haven't been friends that long he might actually like you. if a girl says love you too a guy friend which i think is very annoying by the way it usually means she just wants to stay friends but its kind of hard to say with guys.
