Why do a lot of guys put down attractive/hot girls?

The most common one that I heard are "she isn't a gf material" or "they are only for fun"
Seriously I am not hot myself but I don't think I have the right to judge them based on their appearance. They deserve to be happy just like other people too. How is it fair to put them down just because they are attractive. I know some of them can be bitchy and catty but I am sure there are good ones too. I have some friends who told me he'd rather make an average girl as his girlfriend and use the hot girls for fun. I actually find it hilarious because he never got any hotty and I know he tried to flirt with one but got rejected badly by her. Even on this site I have seen some answers from guys who said the same thing which make me feel ashamed as a guy because I never thought about discriminating other people for their look.

Because less attractive girls tend to be more giving. Popilar girls don't need to work at anything. When I'm in a relationship, I put myself 100% in, I'm involved with the guy, his siblings, his siblings' applications to uni, his parents' health and business. I do a lot. But popular girls or gorgeous women, rather, don't tend to have ever needed to do more than the bare minimum. In fact they're used to others doing it for them. Of course this is a generalization.

Guys believe: Men want a relationship with someone who will give a little attention and work. Boys want fun bouncy women with popularity and looks.

They don't realise how they're comparmentalising women, and that a woman can be fun and bouncy and attractive as well as giving and involved.

I never hear guys who can actually pull hot girls saying this. its always the guy who know that those girls are out of their league saying that shit. sour grapes. majority of the guys saying they would rather wife an average girl and just use a hot girl, can't even get a hot girl to text him back and the average girls are the only ones giving them the time of day

I think they say it as a way to "get their power back". since they know they can't realistically attract a hot girl and compete with the men who want her, they just put her down and act as if THEY don't really want HER. when really theyd jump at the chance to get serious with a beautiful woman if she was interested

It's a hot debate that will never die. Maybe it's spoken out of personal experience but also due to total insecurity... Then there are guys who are just total assholes at tricking girls for sex and leaving them without saying a word. Beauty do play a great part in the higher chances of having several partners in life.

Because hot girls often have an entitled I can get any guy I want atitude or think that any guy should feel lucky to even be in their presence.

They are more likely to have slept around and will lose interest or cheat when a better option comes along. They just aren't worth chasing or getting attached to.

Based on your theory, a person shouldn't be too pretty, but I am guessing a little attractive to date you. Where does personality come into it? What would you do if you meet a girl who has a great personality, but sadly is really hot?
