Why do guys clench their jaw most of the time?

I do it when a guy comes and talk to my crush.. (only this particular guy tho cuz he is ask flirty flirty in front of my face with her..) And well I just look away and act like nothing.. But I been noticing I be clenching my jaw.. so I agree with the anonymous user who said it's a sign of anger..

ohhh i see. Yes i agree with that. Cause i've noticed how guys clench their jaw whenever their angry. Do you do it when you're nervous too or when you're in pain?

And I don't know if I do it when I'm nervous.. I tend to shiver and have a little bit of upset stomach haha

It also widens our face out a bit which makes some people look older/tougher. We also do it when we are really angry or annoyed.

yeah i've been told that. Guys clench their jaw whenever their angry but is it so you won't snap at the person or simply a way of showing anger?

It's a sign of anger. Could just be a habit as well, I have guy friend who clench his jaw every time he takes photos because that's just his pose. I've seen male models doing it.

It's basic instinct and the origin of it is fighting. You clench your jaw and pull back your chin to protect yourself from damage by a punch. There are some really interesting videos about this and other "primitive" body language signs you can easily find on youtube.
