If a guy calls you "hun" through text, is it something deeper, or just him being himself?

We have been texting everyday for about 8 weeks on and off now. But these past 3-4 weeks we have been texting on the daily. He lives in Virginia because he is in the navy, and i live in California. we both have known each other for years but lost touch for about 3-4 years. We had feelings for each other at one point, so is this maybe a way he's trying to rekindle those feelings we once had? I don't know am i over thinking? Help? im in the dark about this one.

okay thanks, i guess i was just used to when he would call me hun when he had feelings for me years ago.
also my ex called me hun so i guess i am just over thinking this.

My husband says that sometimes. It's hard to know in your situation. Maybe it doesn't mean anything. Just a friendly word.

Depends on the person, if he commonly says it to all his "girl" friends then it means nothing. But if he is the type of guy who'll give pet names as in "babe" before he and another girl start dating then it may mean something
