Guys, what would you do if another guy hit your girl?

I was at a bar with my boyfriend last weekend, and he was off playing pool while I was dancing. Some guy kept trying to come up to me and grind all over me, even when I tried to move away he followed me. So, I got off the dance floor to get another drink and find my boyfriend, and this dude got in my face about it. I told him to back off and leave me alone, and then he started cussing me out so I told him to fuck off. He ended up shoving me.

My boyfriend came over and talked the guy down, which is good that the violence didn't escalate, but seeing that side of him where he was able to take control and be really demanding was surprising because he's typically so laid back.

Is this natural for guys in these situations? What would you do if you saw another guy hit/shove your girl?

I'm like your boyfriend, laid back, but if you try to mess with my girlfriend I'm gonna step up. I will always try not to get violence, because there's no need for that, but if that's the only way the guy will understand, I'll have to go that path, but violence is always my last option, I feel like respect gained through words is much stronger than when using violence.

If a guy were to hit my girl? If by talk him down you meant get up in his face and talk DOWN to his absolutely childishness and see if I can't get it into his head that he is a fuck-ass that needs to learn some amount of mannerism and respect for other human beings then yes. I would talk him down.

This is where I'm embarrassed because I'm not a physically strong person. But if this were to happen I'd tell him off and threaten to call the police. Then I'd take my girlfriend away and find somewhere safe. I wish I had the strength to beat down such a douche bag myself but I most likely dont

i'd be by her side in an instant, i'd tell the guy to back off but if he didn't then i would try to walk her out. but if the guy still persisted then i would beat him bloody.

I applaud your boyfriend for handling the situation like that cause most people where I'm at would just start throwing down.

Chances are when I was younger punch first ask later. This is why I don't go clubbing.

Yeah he could throw down if he wanted to, but he got in the dudes face and basically told him he needed back off and leave, I was even impressed. I understand why you'd throw down though.

In that situation, I'd be tempted to kick that guy's ass, but I'd probably end up wanting to avoid a violent confrontation, like your boyfriend did. So good on your boyfriend for reacting the way he did. That was the right move.

Well, it depends. If he's just verbally harassing her or creeping up on her, I would tell him to beat it. But if he tried to physically harm my girlfriend, I would most likely get angry and do something worse to him.
