When a guy talks to you a lot, makes fun of you when he sees you (not in a mean way), tells you that he likes girls and that you're also a girl, and compliment on something that you've done for him, does he like you?

We're friends and friends do this to each other I suppose. But I like him so I'm hoping he likes me back too. From the sound of it, does he like me?

I think he is just one of those guys who find it fun to flirt with girls. He kept saying to me that I am a good friend, after we have hung out several times. It most likely means he does not like me any more as a friend.

I have stopped myself from liking him so it is cool. It is just very frustrating now when you meet a guy who is nice to you and seem like he is into you, but not knowing whether he is feeling sincere about it or just simply want to have the fun out of it.

well it depends, how much does he call you? does he ever mention that he wants to be physically next to you?

he is taking time out of his life to talk to you and he does make fun of you but that doesn't mean anything anymore.

I have been talking to this guy for 4 months now...in the beginning he finally told me that he is married but not happy..he wants to meet and see where it goes from there...is he still interested in me cause when he goes to work he calls me and when he gets off work he calls and texts me a lot.

It sounds like he is interested in you, but if he tries to pick up other girls even though he is married, I would consider if he is worth being with. He could just do to same to you if you do end up together and if he meets another girl that he likes.

I've told him that as a girl, I would never make the first move. He knows this and I really don't think he is shy at all. My friend says he is. And he does hang out with another guy who is shy. He is not shy when he talks to me though. So I don't think he is shy to admit it...

I used to think that too, but I also find that there are guys who do these things because it makes them feel good. They find it fun and for some reason they think it is fine to do it to girl friends. You are lucky that your guy friend really does like you.

I'm in that same situation right now...I've done things to show a lot of interest, and I don't think she understands that I want to be more than friends. So I chose not to talk to her for a little while...just to see what the deal is. I don't feel like getting stuck in the friend zone.

I did try to show him that I'm interested. I am not sure if he knows, and then just choose to pretend he cannot tell. He does things that make it seem like he's "dropping hints" too. I tease/ gave him an opportunity to say "yes" that he likes me, but then he reminds me that he told me he likes the other girl. Sometimes he says he likes her. Sometimes he says he doesn't like her anymore. I tease him about that too.

He keeps telling you he likes the other girl, cause he wants to see how much interest you have in him.... he wants to see if you'll jump in to confess your interest. Its reverse psychology, its about competition among girls. Girls will get jealous quickly and guys know this.

It's a not very effective method then. I back away if he says that. I mean, there's no point in liking someone who likes someone else. Maybe some will get jealous, but its also like telling us that he likes her and won't like you. Guys accuse girls of playing games, arnt they doing the same now then?

clearly he "likes" you, the question should be, does he /like/ you. If he's making excuses to be around you, if he's playful with you actively touching or poking perhaps. Just generally initiating interaction then yeah there's a very good chance that he does /like/ you.

We talk more online than in person, but he always initiates the conversation. we actually haven't hung out that much in person, come to think of it. But when we did, with some other friends, he did walk beside me to talk / make fun of me too. there were no touching or poking I don't think. Sometimes its so hard to tell if he's just being friendly.

He's still trying to see what your all about. He's got curiosity. He doesn't wanna be all touchy/feely cause he really likes you and doesn't want to mess up things. He doesn't want to make you feel uncomfortable and lose a girl that he really really likes. That's just how I see it. Cause that would be how I'd act in that case

Well he's initiating communication but doesn't make excuses or find reasons to be around you. for the most part it sounds like he likes you a lot but isn't pursuing you. Prehaps because he hasn't gotten any signals from you that you want anything more than friendship, but it could also be that he simply sees you as a good friend. Touchy feely actions would still come into play at least a little because a guy that likes you that way will want to touch you and make excuses to do it usually playfully.

Come to think of it, I can't remember what the occasion was, but one time when we hung out he suddenly asked to shake my hand when another guy friend did the same. Does that count as the touchy part?

As a single instance it might have meant more at the time but inthe long run the question is has he done such a thing much since then. Feelings change over time, he might have felt a certain way then that is different now or it could have just been a single playful act at the time so it's not enough to base anything on.

If a guy invests time in you, chances are he likes you. He's just being nonchalant and using humor to convince you to take the first step. I'd definitely take that step if you like him, and make it obvious.

I did try to show that I like him. I didn't want to make it too obvious but he should be able to tell. I think he might have figured it out too because he sort of teased me about it, but again, no obvious signs. He tells me I am a friend. Doesn't that automatically mean that I am friend-zoned instead?

Hmm, this whole "should be" thing is screwing you up. If you like him ask him out... don't expect him to make a real move until you do (no matter how obvious you think it is). And don't expect you are friend zoned. I read an article where the guy's strategy was to tell a chick that he just wanted to be friends to befuddle her; sorta a reverse psychology thing. Tell him directly what you want.

I don't want to be the one taking the initiative but I have said yes when he asked me out to hang out (not just the two of us though). And I said yes even if I was busy because I did not want to give him a false signal that I am not interested. But he told me he like other girls, and that I am a good friend. He even said he find it fun to flirt with his girl friends. I think it is all fun stuff to him, rather than him really being interested.

well if he says "i like girls. you're a girl ya know" then its pretty obvious he wants you to pick up on the signals he's giving you. there's a good chance he likes you.

Hmmm... I don't know. he say different things. Once he called me les, another time, hermaphrodite, and then another time he told me I'm a guy. But then he did say something like what you said too. I've given him changes to reply with "yes I do like you", but he never did. Maybe he is just playing around?
