Guy driving a long way to see me, could this mean anything?

My guy friend and I both live in different towns so we only see each other a couple of times a year.

The last time I was in his town he made a big effort to catch up with me (he asked me to catch up two days in a row while I was there - I was only there for three days). He also sent me a text letting me know he'd had a great time catching up.

He sent me a text the other night saying that he will be travelling to a city that is a few hours away from where I live (he's got a sports competition on there). He said that on the way back he might take a detour out to where I live and he asked if I'd like to catch up. It is at least a three hour drive out to where I am. I live in a tiny country town and it's not exactly exciting out here, so I was flattered that he'd want to come out. He said he's never been out here before and would enjoy it.

I'm just so surprised that he would come all the way out here! Could it mean anything?

Well it definitely means he really likes you. I could very well be as a friend, I'd make quite an effort to see a good friend too. He might like you as more than a friend, but I can't really tell from this info. He sounds like an awesome person though and he loves your company for sure. What happens when you guys are together? Any romantic stuff/tension going on?

Not necessarily. There are people who value their friends without viewing them as fuckholes or potential relationships.

He likes you. I would not do the extra driving to see someone I only saw a couple times a year if she was just a casual friend. Plus, in this day and age of internet and texting, it is really easy to keep in touch with friends. To see each other in person is something more, something special, the next level. So I think there is something special there.

Well it's pretty obvious that he likes you a lot to make such an effort to see you cuz if it's three hours out to see you then it's also three hours back. Have a great time

Watch for his behavior when he's around. It's likely to mean two things, either he misses you as a friend, or he's romantically interested in you. You can always ask him if he likes you, well.. if you're brave enough and if you like him :)

I mean it's possible he sees you as more than just a friend. But again I can't assume he does. Personally I wouldn't go through that trouble unless I was attracted to her or just extremely lonely and will take any human contact haha.

It seems like he's the type of guy used to long drives so it may be less of a deal to him I don't know though. From the information you gave I know he has very different interests than me so I cannot claim to understand him
