Guys, why do some guys scan girls with their eyes when they see them?

Why do a lot of guys scan a girl's body/glance them up and down? What are they thinking?

There is this guy at work who scans me with his eyes, even when he is standing next to someone, talking to them. I don't think he realizes he does it or that I notice. When he sees me from a distance his eyes scan down like he is literally scanning me.

He isn't a creep , he is a nice guy. But I REALLY would like to know.

I know men are visusl. I was just wondering what he was thinking when he did it so often, even when someone is standing right next to him, talking to him. They have to notice. Which leads me to believe it is involuntary and he doesn't notice. And I was wondering if it was physical and/or sexual or was he doing it because he liked me as in personality. Come to think of it he is like 6'2 and I'm 5'1 so I suppose he would have to look down to see me. The good part about that is he looks me in the eyes when he talks to me. So that's good.

I've actually started the conversation with him myself. Which at this point has us pretty friendly. I can't do it all.

And I meant perverted in the sense that sex is always the motivation. I think you can admire a body in the sense that it is just that without the sex part.

Yes men are very visual. When a man looks at a woman it takes him a few seconds to decide whether he wants to sleep with her or not. For women personality comes first, unless they are like guys and care mostly about the sex. For me personality is required if I want a relationship with the girl but for sex all that matters is her body.
