A friend and I had a disagreement and he said something to hurt my feelings. The following day, he called and tried to texted me and I ignored him. I finally told him what he said had hurt my feelings and he apologized. He said he knew something to wrong because I wasn't speaking to him and said he had picked up some food and have to call back when he got home. I didn't like the fact that he was on the phone while driving and asked when did he answer his phone since it wasn't safe. He then said "because you're important to me and I wanted to make sure your were ok because I knew something was wrong." I never has a guy friend tell me that before. Is that something male/female friends tell each other or is it the same as saying "I care about you"?
So, what does it mean when a guy says "you're important to me" what does it mean?
