What's the difference between persistence and being annoying?

I know some girls don't like to seem easy, so they value persistence from guys. But there comes a point where persistence just becomes annoying. What's the line between them?

I don't like the word "persistence", that sounds stalkerish. I like the word "consistent". That means that if you say you're going to call, that you call. If you say you're going to text, that you text. If you say you'll pick her up or meet her somewhere that you do so and that you be on time. I think follow-through and keeping your word shows your true intentions more than merely calling me every hour on the hour under the notion of "persistence". Everyone has their own line when it comes to persistence vs. annoyance. Some girls love getting multiple calls a day while other girls think that's creepy. But I think what all girls will agree on is that they love consistency. Keep that in mind. Hope this helps!

I think being loyal and honoring you word is definitely nice (: once it gets to being someone your not and you start calling me "babe" and stuff when I am definitely not your babe, then it gets realllly annoying.

What does calling you "babe" have to do with persistence, though? Do you mean someone who's trying to go out with you calling you that? Or someone you're with?

Persistence = when you fight for what's yours. i.e. never give up on your love no matter the hardships you face.

Annoying/clingy: When you fight for what's not yours. i.e. the girl doesn't want you but you keep on stalking her.

well part of it then is knowing whether a girl wants you or not. There are girls who don't say no, but don't say yes...so it's hard to know where you stand and whether they're uninterested or playing hard to get.

Best thing to do with these girls is to be patient. Don't give in too much. Text/call once then wait for a reaction. If she likes you but playing hard to get, she'll give in eventually because she'll understand that she's gonna lose you. If she's not interested, then she wouldn't care.

Well, that would be EXTREMELY easy to do if girls stopped playing "hard to get" and gave us a sign. In this case I would much rather be a quitter (not persistent enough) than a loser (stalker). So until that stops be ready to deal to either guys who give up too quickly and disappoint you or guys who won't quit and start stalking you.

I think its definitely good when a guy is persistent when he asks me out an I can't that day so he asks for another day. But if a guy texted or called me like 10 times a day til I answered I would be totally turned off.
