When a guy slaps your thigh?

So at lunch with a group of friends I was sitting next next to him and sometimes he would slap or pat my thigh when something pertained to me. Today he did this about 5 times; he's also done it a few times in the car when I was sitting shotgun. Yes, I do adore him. Is this flirtatious.. Or simply what does this mean and how should I respond?

Flirty indeed... but kinda rude if he has no permission touchin u... and 5 times? Basically this guy's makin it pretty onvious. Anyway if u adore him as u say u can overlook this and start flirtin back as well
