When a guy tells you he likes you, then disappears?

I'm just wondering, I've known this guy for 8 months and we started off as friends with benefits then he took me on a date then (bc we usually go home together drunk and hook up) he said we should hang out sober and not just hook up, I like you a lot. Then I texted him a few days later at like 4 asking to get dinner next week and he NEVER responded and I've seen him at parties since then and he just kind of glances at me and follows me around. What happened? He has a past history of cheating girlfriends and it took a while for him to trust me. He gets jealous easily, like I sent him a snap of me and one of our mutual friends and he asked me if we hooked up. I was talking to this guy (who I made out with like five months ago not knowing it was my guy's friend) bc he's his frat's social and I was trying to get a mixer set up and he was being really touchy with me and tried to kiss me but I walked away and my guy saw so maybe thats it? What do I do?

^so it seems like he wanted u... as sth more than friends with benefits... ;)

^possibly he was nervous respondin u... if he stares at u a lot and follows u around... it means he's definetely interested in my opinion... ;)

his actions tell he still has a hard-time trustin u... when last break-up happened in his case?

I feel like he would still be mad and the fact is that whenever there's a conflict he completely ignores me and usually I'm the one who has to text him or initiate a conversation about it and I don't want to be the one who initiates it again seeing that he completely blew off my text. Its just immature and bothersome haha
