I found different kinds of knives in my boyfriend's house, should I be worried?

Question

I was with my boyfriend yesterday and we ad sex, then he went downstairs to bring us something to drink and I was exploring the room as usual. And I found a small box under the bed full with different kinds of knives, I freaked out and i tried to hide it again but he come back and was like FUCK! I ask him about it and he said it's not his! Then he said it's not a big deal and I shouldn't worry bout it. After a while he said I would never hurt you with anything because you mean the world to me. I couldn't feel comfortable so i  told him that I need to leave because I'm not feeling well and we will talk later but i'm avoiding him since yesterday because im scared and don't know what to do. Is this something serious?

Its weird or wrong to collect a utility or something you enjoy? seriously my mom was the one going psycho over me owning knives and I used them for camping, backpacking or display... Your boy kinda let you go crazy by pretending they weren't his probably because he wanted to keep you happy. Honestly just let it go, talk to him about why it made you uncomfortable, I think its quite sad that young women are so feeble nowadays.

I have several different knives, a couple next to my bed, and a few more on my shelf. I like a beautiful knife, and I collect them. Maybe your boyfriend is the same. Maybe he didn't want to freak you out, or maybe they belong to a friend or family member who collects them, and couldn't keep them at their house for some reason or another.

Maybe just ask him whose they are?

My boyfriend has lots of knives, it's very serious to him, he does not play with them or anything like that and he is definitely not careless. So if your guy has respect for his blades and collects them, doesn't play around then I'd say it's fine.

I wouldn't be worried about him collecting knives since that's something a lot of people do. I'd be more worried about him lying about them not being his, then feeling the need to tell you he wouldn't hurt you.

Well some people collect guns of different types and even knifes of different types... because they love to keep a collection of them... but that does not mean they are KILLERS! 😊

But only you know your boyfriend... soo... if he is a good guy then nothing to worry about!

I have many knives and I even have guns. I am a perfectly balanced person who has killed almost nobody ! I just like knives. Don't know why, I just do. I use them all the time for different purposes, never to cut anybody. They are toys that disguises as tools.

Nothing to worry about. Most men keep some type of weapon around the house, in case of break ins or if anything goes down. I think we are just wired that way. Most men I know have some type of weapon in the house, and in their car.

he's a guy, hell, i have knives throughout my room. they are probably just a hobby for him. i have a friend with 20+ knives on his bedside table alone. we just have them for fun.

if he said they were his it would not be strange at all; knives are cool. But the fact that he either tried to deny it means that he knew you wouldn't like it or he's doing something shady. That being said I doubt there's anything shady going on.

Having knives is completely fine and I love collecting them. It doesn't mean I'm going to use them against anyone but it's fun collecting them.
It's a very common hobby actually as a few of my friends collect them or I've met people who've had them.
You can always ask him all of this ^^^ and see what he says

it's a knife collection. it's no big deal. i almost bought 250 one time for $100 and it came with 2 katanas. he probably keeps them away so people don't go through his shit.

Having knives is pretty normal, I collect them. His overreaction is definitely not normal, I would avoid him.
Normal collectors don't act like you caught them. with something naughty or horrible, when you simply find a collection. It's a red flag.
