What does the deer in headlights look mean if a guy does it?

Me and this guy haven't seen each other in five weeks, we have been on and off for a while but this time round agreed to stay away from one another and that he didn't want to lead me on. It's a shame because the chemistry is amazing and we are like best friend when together :( but he isn't ready to go that step further. We saw each other for the first time other day and his eyes were huge and sparkly, looked like a deer in headlights... we both mumbled hi! Anyways I just wondered what this look is and if guys have experienced it before?

Oh, you're looking at this all the wrong way. He wasn't looking at you in a dazed/confused look. He saw you and was totally blown away at how gorgeous you looked. When a guy sees a girl and does that, he is completely amazed at what he's seeing! He just could not take his eyes off you! Sweetie, you have him hooked. Now reel him in. Be patient as he gets over his initial stunned feeling (he truly can't believe he was looking at someone so nice).

You'll have to bring him back to reality, to remind him you're very real. You'll have to carefully let him know you'd like to spend some more time with him if he could figure out how engage his brain for a few minutes and actually THINK! Hehehe. Good luck!

Thank you that makes so much sense , he has whispered the three little words to me before, I've tried so many times to get him to see me for who I truly am. But it always back fires and he says I don't want to lead you on etc even if I ask him to hang out watch a movie etc

He doesn't just like you, he's totally enamored by you! Truly, you have him around your little finger - if you'd like. The bad part... he has you on a pedestal pretty high in his world. Try to make him understand you're not some fragile doll. That you're a big girl and can handle life just fine. When he starts being himself, you'll really start seeing him without all the sparkles in his eyes. I know... you still want "some" of that in him. Trust me, that's not going away anytime soon.
