I know this guy likes me and he knows I like him but normally he doesn't call me, we just text. When I say long I mean hour long conversations that just have multiple topics. Ones that have silent moments but those moments aren't ever really awkward. Is there something guys like better about phone calls?

A long conversation is only engaging when both people have mutual feelings together (or one person likes the other person).
I like phone calls. I can hear them talk and their tone to what they say is completely different compared to just texting in general. It's nice to know that when you talk about something over the phone, the person will more likely reply back to you and just have this out burst of conversation going on. I like it.
It does depends on who we talk to and what we talk about and whether or not we can keep the conversation going. If it does end up being really long then the factor of being tired or bored comes in depending on what time it is and who we are talking to.
Also phone calls are more personal than text so +1
If it's my girlfriend hell yeah, we talked for about 3 to 5 hours straight sometimes texting is tiring than calling.

If it's a girl I like, I prefer talking on the phone over text message. In past relationships, sometimes this meant more than three hours, even if I saw her that same day.
I like having long conversations on the phone with my girl right before she goes to sleep. She has a sexy accent and I want to be the last thing she thinks about and her be the last thing I think about.
