Does my coworker like me?

Lately I have found myself crushing on a coworker, who some days I feel like he feels the same and the other days, I do not. He always greets me when I come in to work, he says my name when he talks to me all the time, he always jokes around with me, sometimes I see him looking at me and he quickly looks away. However, then there is the fact that he does contortionist moves to avoid touching me, I feel a lot of tension between us sometimes, or he will go as far away from me as possible. I don't even know how to read him because he's either acting nice or distant. Its so hot and cold. Does he like me? Or does he not like me? Insight would be helpful.

I guess I will just throw in the towel for this one. Or attempt to anyway. While I doubt we would lose our jobs since there are other couples working together in the office, I wouldn't want things to get weird.

He could be thinking the very same thing you are. Invasion of personal space is funny thing it can be either way. Being co workers make things really tough. Especially since there is all this fear of anything being considered to be harassment of some sort people are very careful to not do something that can be taken wrong way there for causing trouble and losing there job. I have seen this myself from the 3rd person angle many times.

One thing to remember if you did actually start some thing and then it goes bad what happens do you quit the job because you now can't stand the sight of him. Or it causes problems at work causing work to remove one or both of you. Many businesses don't want this going on but it happens. Having seen this go both ways he could be doing this because he does see you as a person of interest but he not quite sure how to deal with it. Lets face it at work if he were to screw this up it would never really go away due to fellow coworkers would probably take sides and hold it against him or you.

This is true, I used to date a coworker, and nobody at work actually knew. Even when we broke up. But yea, that also did cross my mind especially since its a small company and every is friends with everybody it seems because there are very few workers. Ah well, a shame because he really is a nice guy.

If you do like him and suspect the same for him. You could joke about work relationships in a past job that you had seen. Where other former co workers were in that boat and how it must be tough for people. Maybe use one of you fellow female friends stories and see if he's got any suggestions on the subject. This will probably make it real obvious what you up to but maybe he'll be only thinking he's offering help for a friend not you.

If you work together not a good idea to get into a realtonship, if the relationship goes bad your work relationship can suffer also.

Their are rules

1. don't date co workers even if you are attracted to them your job is a source of income and a career don't risk it.

2. don't hit on the bartender especially if you are drunk it never ends well

3. lots of other situations were you should not date.

Hahaha one of my friends met her boyfriend at a bar... he was the bartender, she was the customer ;)

Why not just ask. Or slide in a comment jokingly somewhere in conversation and say
"You like me cause I'm awesome." It could be taken as friends or more so depending on his come back.
