Curvy Plus Size Girls?! Do We Have A Chance With A Guy?

Question

Okay first off I am in college, I walk everywhere and my classes this semester has cause me 2 miss a few meals...the affect: (only non-affect it has is making my boobs smaller *my boobs are big and have remained that size*) my tummy has gotten smaller and flatter, my butt has gotten a little bigger, and waist more noticeable. The thing is I am a plus size girl, but most would say I am 'big boned' or 'curvy'. I carry my size well, and not bad at all. Yet, I have a few questions?

1) Does being plus size (how I describe my size and all) affect meeting guys?

2) Do they not get past the fact you are a little bigger?

3) Is all they c is a 'fat girl'?

4) Can they tell when a girl is 'fat' and when a girls 'curvy'?

5) Knowing that most big/curvy girls have big boobs, is that all a guy sees when he first meets her?

6) Do big/curvy girls like me have a chance with a guy (no really average size guy, but not the big-big guys...u know the middle kind)?

7) Given the following example pics cause my body varies among them, would you say that I am 'fat' or in kinder words 'big/curvy'?

I am also on the larger side. I am by no means 'skinny' and nor would I want to be. Like you, I am comfortably curvy. Id like to tell you a bit about me (if you can bear with me a second), I would rate myself as being 'attractive' perhaps a 8 out of 10 on a good day. I don't let my weight and size effect me or my day to day life in any way. Although I was relitively late starting on the dating scene, I have so far not had ANY problems attracting cute, and lovely men that are only too willing to start up a relationship with me. Since the age of 18, I've had several comfortable relationships and have been on lots of dates. I think men prefer the curvier girl if you want my opinion.

1. No, being plus sized shouldn't effect you meeting guys in the slightest. Hold your head high, act confidently and walk as if you're a model. Above all SMILE. Make sure you're wearing a nice scent, dress nicely (doesn't have to be cool but down with whatever crowd you hang out with) and make sure all the little things (such as plucking your eyebrows, if you do this) are done. Men really appreciate someone that is confident and has a great smile, it is one of the things about a woman that they can find most attractive.

2. Yes of course they do. Its never been a problem for me to start with in all honesty! Once they see you smile, and see you radiating confidence, having fun, cracking a joke maybe then they'll be putty in your hands.

3. No. Men are rubbish at actually knowing what 'fat' is. I find once they know you as a person and understand your personality then your looks go out the window (im not saying turn up wearing a black bag to a dinner dance... hell no!)

4. As I said previously, men are incredibly hard pushed to recognise 'fat' or 'thin' at the end of the day it comes down to whether they like you as a person and what their preference is. They might naturally prefer a bigger girl but be prepared for them to say they like the skinnier ones as that does happen! hehe

5. probably! :D But hey, they do say play to your strengths! lol.

6. I'm dating a fireman at the moment. He's not skinny but not fat. id call him muscular!

I had a lot of these same questions when I gained a lot of weight in my early 20's. I've found that guys who are "breast men" do tend to fixate on The Girls. But overall, being a size 18-20 has not affected my love life.

I met the guy of my dreams when I was at my heaviest, and we've now been married 15 years. He's a "middle guy" now, but was pretty tall and skinny when I met him - really, I prefer chunky guys, so I had to look past *his* skinniness, actually! I'm very much an hourglass figure, and he's always said how much that turns him on.

Guys don't just see "fat" - they usually see boobs first, butt second, etc. I would advise dressing carefully to play down the butt, but *max out* the bust. This might seem cheesy at first, and that you're playing into stereotypes, but what you begin to realize is that a guy will 1) see you first and 2) talk to you second. If it turns out he can't get past the bust, then ditch him for a guy that is also interested in the real you, even if the bust is what they first noticed.

There's nothing wrong with playing up your assets and minimizing your weaknesses. Guys like a woman who loves herself - sexy is not about size. I heard this for years before I really believed it. If you have trouble believing it, try an experiment: dress up to play up the bust and nip the waist, great heels, do the makeup and hair, etc., and go out with a gal pal for the evening to a bar that you've never been to before. Be conscious of how you carry yourself, act like a lady, wear a big smile, etc. Cautiously glance around from time to time to see how many glances you're attracting. You might be surprised - the first time I did this, I had three drinks sent to my table, one of which the bartender claimed was called "A Knockout".

Sexy is about treating yourself as a prize - not a size. (Hmm, should I trademark that?)

Hunny, you are not fat whatsoever. If those pictures are your exact size, you have nothing to be afraid of. Answers to your questions:

1. Being plus size has nothingg to do with how you meet guys. I'm not insinuating anything, but some guys like it bigger. Hey, the bigger the better, right?

2. So what if you're a little bigger than every skinny sh*t out there. It's good that you have more than just skin and bones.

3. No. Simply, no.

4. If you have to tuck your stomach into your pants, or if you have rolls upon rolls hanging off your pants, that my dear, is the difference between fat and curvy.

5. Of course that is one of the first things they are gunna see, but as long as your really pretty which I'm sure you are, theyll see who you are as a person more than anything.

7. If that's your body, your gorgeous. You are not fat, or big. That's a very normal, good, healthy size. It's better than just being skin.

I would like to offer my opinion but have to say that as I am in a much different age group to you and have a very different lifestyle this is not as informed an opinion as you are entitled to.

Everything you have said is about the exterior 'you' and nothing about who you are as a complete person. OK personally I tend to be interested and aroused by the curvy kind of girl ["Plus size" to me is a label on a clothes rack in a department store!] and so I would immediately notice you if you walked into the room.

However, the sort of person you want to meet is someone who will find the attractive inner you as well as the outer you and if you go the right way about it you are likely to attract men of all shapes and sizes including the size to weight ratio you prefer.

Most attractiveness, like sex, is 90% in the mind. Comely looks are made to attract so that we get together. What keeps us together is what is in our minds and hearts .. I feel this is why relationships are so fragile these days, everyone tries to make how they are seen and what the people they are with are seen 'as' the most important part of their life.

I personally feel that you need to look at the interests and activities that excite you on and off campus and look for situations that bring people together naturally, If you are in a "Hanging out" or a club environment you will find that many men go with the oftentimes shallow male requirement of a woman that she should look like a sylph-like film or tv star, it is a rationale bolstered by the media and the entertainment industry ...

There are girls as young as seven in my country worried that they will not be able to be a size zero at 16 or 18 when they should have a much more carefree approach to life and an innocence of the world of the older girl. I feel we need to look at real life values and what we can respect and care for in terms of behaviour rather than the shape the behaviour comes in. Life can play awful tricks with our bodies that leave them scarred or misshaped, but the same lovely special person is still there inside. If we expect an idealised perfection as many young men are hoping for, how do we deal with the realities of life, ageing and just the sheer fact that life is mostly compromise.

I hope you find a man of the frame size you hope for, and I hope he is kind and considerate and intelligent with a heart the size of yours!

Oh hell yes you have a "chance" with me.  Do I have a chance with you?  Do skinny girls have a chance with me.  They better have a really good personality.  If I wanted stick figures I would become a gay pedophile.  Maybe via joining the priesthood.  Sure there is such a thing as obese that's not attractive but a little fat gives a woman curves.  Which is what makes women look like women.  I want a woman who is soft to the touch who can hug me like I am her teddy bear and who I can carress. I definitely want some boobs some hips some booty to have fun with.  And at the end of the night I would rather be lieing on top of a soft body than a bony one.  Plus the shape the silouhette of a curvy women makes me want to start howling like a dog sometimes.  I am average sized you could say I am broad shouldered but kinda short.  5 7 I know there are some women that will write me off because of my height.  Frankly f*** them.  I have been out with some really tall girls and some really short girls and it don't really matter. 1) Does being plus size affect meeting guys? Yes because you wil be more likely one night stand satisfying a fetish girl in a guys eyes.

2) Do they not get past the fact you are overweight? They won't (theyre friends and family won't let them forget, and even then you wouldn't let him get past it either).

Don't forget...all guys are different.  Yes, some guys like really thin girls and some guys prefer curvier women.  I'm a curvy girl, and I've never had any trouble with my love life.  Yes, guys do tend to notice my boobs first, but I quickly lead them away from that with my personality.  First and foremost, I consider myself a smart, funny, adventurous girl who just happens to be attractive to certain guys.  I accept the fact that not all men find me beautiful, just, as women, we don't find every single man handsome.  I'm sure you're a beautiful girl, and I'm sure you have some favorite assets.  Play up the most beautiful part of you because when you feel sexy, that sexiness is going to play out in the way you walk, the way you talk, and in everything you do. personally I think that is a fine body type. I'm about your weight too and I attract my fair share of guys, I just have low confidence. I don't even think you qualify as a "fat girl". yeah its large compared to a size 2 but you are not 300 lbs. either and its not like you are obese. believe it or not there are a lot of men who like voluptuous women. its about if you dress to accentuate your figure and if you are projecting confidence. I am about your size and when I stopped feeling bad about myself I realized "omg I'm a pretty girl" because I was attracting guys I wouldn't even have thought would noticed me.  you might be full figured but you're no 300 lb. girl with no shape either, seriously don't think you have to look stick thin to be attractive

Nice guys will not care. The only guys who would turn you down based soley on your weight are the ones that you're clearly better than. I'm athletic and I've dated the "i love tiny girls" guys and I've dated the "i like big girls" guys and I've dated the "i don't care" guys, etc. The ones who cared only about weight were really uninteresting. People who focus less on appearance tend to have more substance, therefore, are better people in general.

I'm sure you're pretty so you'll have non problem at all with any type of guy. If you're worried about guys fixating on breasts, wear clothes that are modest in the bust area.

Being a plus size or beign curvy can affect, since it can make the
man attracted to you or the opposite which is unlikely if you're
curvy. Men are attracted to curves and a woman being a little
bigger doesn't matter that much to us. If all we saw was a "fat"
girl then you'd have to be more than 250 lbs. Currently I've been
dating a curvy girl for two years and she's 5'7 and 175 lbs. I've never once saw a flaw in her, plus I love her personality. It's what one of the things that attracted me to her and her natural beauty. Her body is similar to this.

I was 230 lbs but I lost most of it. Unfotunatly I lost it because I developed some eating disorder. I would eat one meal a day for weeks than decide to just not eat at all one day. This worked for a while, than I had a seasure and fell down some steps ha ha ha ha It was crazy I was leaning on a door and sliding down the door but it looked like the door was moving up ha ha ha ha ha

I coldn't figure out what was going on. I figured out I had a problem after that and started eating a little more. I still don't eat a lot but now I run and hike and clime the hills out in the desert so I keep my weight down. When I'm able to run further I think I will get the body I want. I eat 0 junk food that stuff is as bad as smoking it will kill you it kills people all the time. People get so fat they get sick.

1. Not in my case because being plus size doesn't say who she is. And you say you carry yourself well and that's a BIG PLUS. Because I know some bigger girls who act like they just don't care but you can really tell someone who does carry themselves good. And they are just as sexy as anybody else.

On the basis of the pictures, I'd say you don't have too much to worry about but the first pic is bordering on the edge of overweight. You do need to watch it and if you can get the weight down a bit your love life will improve.

I don't think you should worry about boob size. Get your waist and hips right and let your boobs adjust themselves to whatever.

Writing as a male I think all boobs are beautiful regardless of size. In fact I've never seen boobs that didn't turn me on.

im a curvy girl. I always tell my thinner friends that I'm fat and they all say I'm not. I just got meat. two of my favorite things on my body are my boobs and ass. and those are two of  the things guys look at on girls. even if you don't have a perfect body as long as you have confidence and a great personality there's no reason y you can't get a guy. unless he's a total ass and can't see the beauty in you. and  whoever you come across just remember the main goal is for you to be happy..
