What does it mean when a guy puts his head down while walking past you?

Well a month ago i caught him staring at me from afar. It was pretty crowarded and kinda dark. We made eye contact. Its like he followed me with his eyes, because the second time i caught him he was already staring at me. This all happened a month ago. Last week I saw him as soon as he saw me through the door, he put his head down and hand in his pocket while walking past me, he was walking quickly and was walking to class. It was like he was avoiding me and kinda nervous.

Personally, I think he could fancy you? He liked you, hence the stares. But when it comes to making a move when you're actually in obtainable distance, that requires quite a feat of courage, so he chose to wimp out, in a manner of speaking. All those gestures are a sign of passivity. Like, when you're with great apes, you keep your head bowed in order to suggest you're challenging the dominant male (which is a good idea, since they're literally 10 times as strong as a human.)

Also, if you think of it this way, if you fancy someone, without having spoken to them and gotten to know them, your mind leaps ahead. So you fantasise about this lady, you really like her, and you know that when you see her, it's do or die with regard to making a move and an impression. If you put out the wrong signal, then you could curse yourself for ever. It's a lot of pressure, you can imagine. :)

Yeah, its sure that he is interested in you and he wants to talk with you, but he is kind of that ''shy guys'' who can't make the first move, and have problems to communicate. Not in love but, he is liking you so if you are interested in him aswell just wait a little bit, if he doesn't make the first move you do it and speak with him, otherwise he won't do it cause of being shy and it will be bad.

He's either shy or he doesn't want to talk to you. Neither possibilities are worth worrying about.

Only one reason someone you don't know and have never spoken too would act like this, unless the guy is your long lost father who got cigarettes and never came back and recognized you somehow lol.
