Does a girl seem more high maintenance if her nails are painted?

Not at all.
I realize painting her nails, fingers and toes, is a Feminine expression of beauty and being in touch with her body. I'LL EVEN PAINT HER NAILS!
Where I draw a line on defining "high maintenance" is when she grows her nails to a length that inhibits what she can do, obsesses about breaking one and fears getting her hands filthy dirty & hardened by Salt-of-the-Earth work. For example, Mountaineering with me and assisting in the planting, raising & harvesting of our own veggies.
Those interludes when she's feeling the Girly-ness to paint her nails, trust me, I'm right there encouraging all the Femininity she can embody!

Nails doesn't say high maintenance necessarily because pretty much all girls do it. Nails also don't do anything for attraction really (they are for you, most guys don't really care). But, I don't care for long nails like the first pic. The darker colors also aren't as "feminine" looking but yeah, really don't care. It's a girl thing.

It depends on the length of the nails and/ or they are decorated.
A girl with very long nails and such can barely use the keyboard, won't wash the dishes without gloves, won't do their own nails, etc. Someone who keeps their nails like that, usually also goes to the salon often, which many people might take as high maintenance. Especially if someone else is paying for it.

No, if I paint my nails it doesn't mean I'm high maintenance. It means I'm feminine and I love to take care of my nails since it's fun. I hope most guys share the same perspective, after all they're just nails.

I don't think someone taking care of their nails automatically makes them high maintenance. That's not something I would assume just because someone has nice nails or has them painted.

Nails are among the last things I notice unless they are digging into my back (which I don't like too much, ouch). Color of them doesn't matter much to me. Nice hair, bod and face is far more important. A single change that will turn me on far more is growing the pubes out rather than the fingernails, but I'm just weird.

For some reason i LOVE girls with pretty painted nails. I like them when they are shaped like the ones in the last two pictures, when they are kind of rectangular. Well, their finger nails that is. But I like pretty toe nails too. I like the black color but I prefer when girls have that baby blue or light orange color. It just comes off really hot and feminine. Sorry if I sound kinda creepy.
