Do men ever think women look better WITHOUT makeup?

I ask this because plenty of men say that they prefer a natural woman, and its not that I don't believe it I just haven't seen any proof YET that guys prefer TOTALLY natural girls but more so they prefer natural looking makeup, which is a big difference. But I don't doubt that men CAN think a woman is more beautiful without any makeup because I think it all the time. I actually found a few pictures of women that I thought were even better without makeup.

And then I found pictures of women who I thought were pretty but look better WITH makeup.

Feel free to correct me if you disagree that any of these women looked better with or without makeup or if you think they all are ugly without or they all are pretty without. Thanks in advance for any insight I can get.

My boyfriend haatttesss when I wear makeup for a few reasons.
1- He thinks I look better without it
2- He doesn't want me to think I need makeup to be beautiful
3 - He prefers girls actually natural (not the natural makeup)
So he bought make up wipes and rubs my cheek with it to see if I'm wearing some then try to embarass me/make other chicks jealous around by yelling "STOOOOPP YOU'RE RUINING YOUR BEAUTIFULNESS. TAKE IT OFF"
And it's nice and funny so we laugh and usually I'll take it off. But back to the point. Yes some dudes think women look better without makeup. Me I like the natural makeup most

I think it's really sexy when a girl is at home, all natural wearing no makeup and a big shirt. But a girl at the club with no makeup can in no way compete with those wearing it. Different kinds of beauty for different situations, I wouldn't like it if I were a guy laying in bed on a Saturday morning with my girl, and she was wearing a full face of makeup.

I'm not one of those who says he prefers women without make-up though. I like make-up on a lot of women, but tend to like it when it's a bit more subtle and not too fancy.

The thing for me is that if a girl looks great without make-up, like in this case IMO:

... then she's going to look stunning even if she's snoring in your bed. And that tends to speak volumes to me when I can look at my girlfriend at her very worst and still see the most beautiful face.

That's very nice I would love if a guy thought that about me. I guess it also depends on the occasion in which women are wearing it or not wearing it. Like, I know girls who wear makeup to the beach which would look more appropriate (I. e. better) if they were like, at a fancy dinner of something. And women who wear no makeup when they are in the house cleaning is obviously more apppropriate than wearing no makeup anywhere else. If that made any sense, what I'm trying to say is I think it depends on the occasion.

Makes sense. I'm also in an urban and fashionable area so make-up is quite the norm and I've gotten used to it and fond of it on women. Also if a guy is in love with a girl, everything about her will look beautiful, even her imperfections. There have been a few times though where I wasn't really in love with a girl yet, she took off her make-up, and I was a bit taken aback. One particular case was an Asian girl who barely had any eyelashes, so her eye-makeup made such a magical transformation to her looks. She also did something weird when our dates got steamy where she took off all her make-up before sex, and I must admit that (while admittedly a superficial bastard), I was incredibly disappointed -- not because of how she looked without make-up, but because she took it off during a passionate moment when I wanted to see her at her best and wanted to be most physically attracted to her.

That's a poor example. She obviously has globs of makeup in the second picture. She might very well have foundation, eyeliner and a light brow liner in the picture "without makeup." I think most guys want girls with light makeup, but mistaken that for "no makeup."

@DancingGirl That's possible but I just like make-up on a girl in general unless it's very poorly done. With that kind of random girl I picked, it does kinda look like she's at least wearing foundation, but sunscreen might have that kind of effect. Whatever the case, I like how she looks and the left picture is at least light enough on the cosmetics if there is any to get a good impression of how she might look with whatever remnant is left completely removed.

The only part that sometimes screws me is eye make-up if the girl is lacking in the eyelash area. It usually changes the whole composition of her face in those cases with any kind of eye liner, eye shadow, mascara.

Only time I've been really disappointed with girls I dated in the past when they removed their cosmetics were ones who went quite heavy on the eye-makeup and, furthermore, took it off right before sex for some reason.

No, unless she's really bad at applying make up.

When guys say they like girls "natural" they either mean they want her to wear only a little make up (perfectly reasonable) or they want a girl who looks incredibly even without make up, which is a bit like a girl saying she likes "nerdy" types when actually she wants a tall, muscular, handsome guy who wears glasses.

I prefer girlfriend without makeup, and mainly because when your girl is relaxed she is always more beautiful than if puts on make up, have you also noticed that when you make love and you are looking at each other whatever age you are that she looks really younger because her face is relaxed in au naturale :-)

Almost all of them look better without. These "before and after makeup" pictures always cake them as much slap as they can get on her face.

Sure, you can make yourself look like a crack whore, but that is an issue of your makeup selection not an issue of you wearing makeup.

I totally agree, women look kinder and friendlier without makeup, it makes them more approachable too. Children always feel more comfortable to women without makeup. Patients also feel more comfortable to a doctor without makeup.

OK let me use an example. I have a cousin who in my opinion is the most beautiful girl I have ever met. Her face is so gorgeous its definitely enviable. My cousin, however, has a problem with bumps so she wears a lot of makeup to cover it up. She also wears what you might consider a lot of makeup around her eyes and lots of makeup, and she also wears hair extensions because she cut her hair and has decided she wants to have long hair again. Now, my cousin is extremely beautiful. Even without the makeup she looks better than many women who do wear makeup. Does her wearing a lot of makeup take away from her beauty even though she is already beautiful?

In your cousin's case I'd prefer hair her to be normal without make up but I don't disagree on her wearing the makeup of she wants

I'm not offended. Mr Anonymous has a point. Lions are an example that I like. And peacocks too. Males have always had to look more flamboyant to attract female attention I suppose. I honestly don't think that applies to humans though, if that is what your implying Mr. Anonymous.

It's true, particularly with birds. Males have flashy colors to attract mates, and females have neutral colors to blend in to their surroundings.

However, in humans, it's the females who are flashier and more ornamented. Makeup, hair, clothes, jewelry, etc.
