Why do men care when women look different without makeup?

I posted this in the wrong catagory so i am reposting it in the right one.

If a woman puts effort into her appearance and looks very pretty and if she takes off her makeup and looks average. I've seen so many men get upset over women looking different but, duh a woman isn't going to have natural 16 mm lashes. Most likely they are also comparing a woman's bare face to another woman's made up face, or a celebrities face with work done, because many men cannot tell what the majority of women look like without makeup or when a woman isn’t wearing makeup. Meaning their scale of attractiveness in the first place is most likely off.

The more men criticize women's natural races the more it makes sense for women to wear makeup to avoid criticism and even ugly men making some type of cruel joke out of them, especially on the internet because they can get so brutal for no reason.

For me, it's not that makeup conceals what she really looks like. I'm just turned off by heavy makeup. I hate big, fake eye lashes, thick eye liner, face paint and gaudy lipstick. I wouldn't date a woman with such bad taste. I like girls who look fresh and natural.

But I do think tasteful makeup is charming. The natural, "no makeup" makeup look can subtly accentuate her eyes and lips and make her glow. It makes her look extra feminine. And I appreciate it when a woman puts in an effort to look her best.

I'm talking about a bit of concealer to cover shadows and even out her skin tones; mascara and a bit of eye liner (brown or black, depending on her hair color); and a natural shade of lip gloss to define her lips and make them soft and moist.

That kind of makeup doesn't hide her face. Calling it false advertising is absurd. And seeing a girl like that without her makeup doesn't make recoil in horror. Like "OMG, I didn't know you were grotesque!" because her eye lashes aren't as full and there are faint shadows under her eyes. Give me a break. Some guys are so naive and shallow. Do they think celebrities and models wake up looking fresh and gorgeous?

On top of that, if I like her as a person, I'm not concerned about minor, natural imperfections. I'll love her when she wakes up in the morning no matter what. But, again, when she goes to the trouble of looking her best for me and being pretty, I adore her femininity.

1. It's not for you to tell men who is ugly and who isn't. A man can tell that in 0.1 seconds without even consciously trying to. Just a glance and he knows. We have a right to our opinions on that.

2. Given #1, you can't say that it's okay for a woman to have tons of makeup because "she isn't butt ugly", right? You don't know. And we wouldn't know till we see her without makeup.

3. I made a mytake about clown makeup on women long ago. There's women who look like shrek without makeup & like an angel with it.

4. Forgetting about the above, if we reduce life just to looks, I can assure you that the guy who happily bangs any attractive woman isn't the same kind of guy who wants to take her seriously or stick around after. The kind of guy who might do that absolutely DOES care what she looks like without makeup. Guys aren't stupid enough to think you're going to wear makeup, 10 spanx and fake teeth (ha) 24/7.

I avoided this whole issue by making sure to NEVER take a woman seriously if she had tons of makeup on. When I found my wife she was a solid 8-9 in my book WITHOUT even trying at all. Plus great character & personality. When she woke up in the morning she looked the same as she did the night before.

I didn't wear any makeup, except spf 50 when its sunny, and my skinis shine within. I can’t explain it, but i feel that my skin is literally breath! I can use some eyeshadow, lip balm and thats all, but to everyday life i dont wear make up at all! And glad to see how my skin is reacting!
same with hair, i dyed my hair for many years and now i let my own color grow! The hair is become so shiny, in the past i can only achieve that right after i dyed it for several days, and then i sow how damaged my hair bcoz of i dye it so often

Imagine purchasing a car that looks nice aesthetically. Nice paint job, nice rims, nice wheels. Then you find out the motor has issues, the stereo doesn’t work, the electric windows don’t always work, etc. You’d be disappointed. A man’s beard is not the same as makeup, it’s a natural thing if he chooses to grow a beard. I don mind makeup if she’s already pretty as it is. First off, money is not an "easy" cop out for men. It takes a lot of time, effort, and perseverance to earn that whereas you can easily walk into any store you want and buy some makeup like it's nothing. Even the money isn't a guarantee for a cop out. And not all women are attracted to beards so that's not so much of a cop out either.

Second, looks always attract the guy towards the girl, and while it isn't everything, it pays a big part in getting to know a girl. If she takes the makeup off and she becomes absolutely different in terms of attractiveness and I said IF she looks much different, I'm sorry but it's a no go. That's why I said we prefer to see you first WITHOUT the makeup, then we won't be deceived by this front. Because while we may get to know you before when you had the makeup on and you liked her beforehand, once you take it off, and you look completely different that's a gut-wrenching feeling. Looks are not a man's main asset in the dating market, that's YOUR biggest impact in the dating market, not ours. Does it have an impact? Yes. But NOWHERE near the level of impact that it has for you ladies. That's just how it goes. You are judged by different factors in life than we are, and you are held to different standards in life than we are. That's just reality. Is it right? Probably not. In a perfect world this wouldn't even be much of a big deal. But this isn't a perfect world now is it?

I see, you meant men who treat makeup like it's a tool for deception. I'd say deception requires an intention to mislead, and therefore men who assume that women have such an intent are those who feel threatened, even if only to a small degree. Makeup does give a different appearance, so in a way it's more open to wear a more vibrant lipstick and/or eyeshadow, which is obviously not the natural skin tone. One could be tasteful about it.

I’m not sure where you are meeting couples that are exactly looks matched? A portion or women I know date men significantly less attractive than then same why I know men who are dating less attractive women (Although I’ll be honest I see more of the reverse than I do that) Also most women would not be good judges of what a proper looks match is for them making that virtually impossible.
