Why won't he add me on snapchat?

So there is this guy I have a crush on, I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me the same way. However we have been staring at each other a lot and today he actually said hi to me pretty much out of the blue. I posted on my instastory today "snap..." and he has seen it, but doesn't add me and I don't want to be the person to add first (since I added him on face and insta a while ago lol). Is he not adding me because he is so far from interested or is he not adding me because he doesn't want to be the pernson to add first either?

Edit: he keeps making tiny conversations, like asking me if I have seen a person etc..

Guys are very direct. If he wanted to talk to you or snap chat... you would have known.

Did you ask him to add you on Snapchat? If you didn't then why do you expect him to add you?
