Why this guy asked for my snapchat but never added me?

I followed his ig yesterday and had a bit of chat going on. I said he's cute and he asked me whether to hang out. In the end he asked for my snapchat, so I sent him the snap code and that's the end of the story... He read the message but never added me!!! WHY?

Do I just wait for it? We stopped the conversation after sending the snap code tho. If he never added me ever after, should I just move on?
