Men are fragile creatures when it comes to women. They must feel that they can control the woman in order to feel at ease around her or if not control be in some way superior to her (intelligence, wit, success, wealth etc). Egos are delicate and once bruised take a LONG time to heal.

This is why us women need to pander to their fragility. Don't boast about anything. Try and dumb yourself down so he can step in and explain things to you. Show your weak and feminine nature so he can step up and be a "proper man". It's very difficult for them to find their place today what with women thinking they can provide for and support themselves in this modern world. We must endeavour to make them feel needed.

You can tell he is intimidated by you if he sweats, stutters, shouts, cries, speaks, breathes, holds his breath, squeaks when he walks, calls his mom to pick him up after two minutes conversation, pulls on his neck beard while you chat etc etc. Classic signs.

- he looks like a deer in headlights, terrified (Dead give aways, dead, get it?
- he looks jumpy when around you but relaxed with others
- he looks shaky talking to you
- he warily approaches you
- he loses courage midway talking to you, gives up and leaves
