Guys, Is he jealous?

Me and this guy have a little flirtation going on.. we stare at each other all the time and ask each other personal questions with intense eye contact.

today I was chatting with someone else (another guy) and the guy in question was smirking while looking down at the ground - kind of smug.

Is this jealousy?

He might be bummed out but there's a few different types of jealousy he could be experiencing:
1) He could see it as a challenge if he's got a smug look on his face
2) He could take it that you're not as interested as he was hoping you were
3) He could be insecure and lose interest

Or it might not be jealousy at all. He might be talking one or more females and he's glad he has backup plans in case things go south... like having one of them go south.
There are quite a few possibilities. If he doesn't confront you about talking to someone else then there's a chance he's not the psychotic jealous type. Just see how he interacts with you from now on if you find yourself in a similar situation.

Perhaps. Try asking him if he gets jealous when you pay attention to other men. His reaction should be a good indicator of his feelings.
