Reality is that love is overrated emotions and that handful of people prey on this defect in people. Why do I indicate love is a defect? Because it's a chemical reaction created by the brain nothing more and nothing less, yet this chemical reaction leads to some rather chaotic choices at times.
Now outside of love being an overrated emotion we live in 21st century where chivalry has long died out and the remaining gentleman/decent guys are dying at an accelerated speed, similar as the speed of a corrosion in a metal. As time passed by new social norms have been born, some being rather idiotic and narcissistic in nature, but in the end this is human nature. Do to this 21st century lives by a simple moral "Use and Toss". In this case the guy "Used" you to obtain sex, the whole sweet talking part was "a Play on Emotions" and "Exploitation of Human Emotions and Feelings" .
Unfortunately you are not the 1st nor the last girl who's been toyed and then simply tossed aside. With that said I hope this is a learning experience for you, that will once more reinforce the fact that love is overrated and that predators exist who exploit people's feelings and emotions for their own personal gain be it sexual or monetary.

For millions of years reproduction was risky for women. Late in her pregnancy, a woman was unable to gather food, so she needed a male to provide for her needs until the end of the pregnancy. Over the millenia, this caused women to seek out the best man and try to get him to be "hers". This is why women favor monogamy instinctively.
For men, they were expected to be the warriors and hunters. Their lives might be extremely short. Maybe you get the boar, maybe the boar gets you. This is why men want to mate with as many women as possible. To maximize the chance of passing on their genes.
Both of you are simply obeying the commandments of your nature.

I think all people need to be more careful with who they have sex with, if they want a serious relationship. You never really know someone until you've known them for awhile. Even then things may surprise you but you have a better chance of getting to know the real them if you take your time and if you choose not to ignore the bad signs.
I know it probably feels awful and you probably feel used but try to take this and learn from it. Don't think all men are bad or will use you but learn from it and be more careful. It wasn't your fault for being naive, it was his fault and his problem. The best thing you can do is take care of yourself and build yourself up.
Wow what an asshole. Believe it or not, there's ways to tell if a guy just wants sex and nothing more. You just have to learn from your mistakes & don't overlook the signs the next time. You're not dumb because of this. Everyone makes mistakes when it comes to guys, I know I have🤷♀️ Thankfully not all guys are like this. Ya gotta be careful though. Pay attention to their actions and not their lies, I mean words. lol

LOL they clearly have a better chance at getting in your pants if they make you fall for them and believe they want something more with you

They do it because that was all they wanted was the sex and once they got that.. it is bye bye now take care.. and a lot will say anything in some cases including all the sweet talk it takes to get it.. I just hope that it now being 2017.. some of those women who may have had this deception pulled on them by a guy in their past and all women new to the dating scene.. clue in a bit better to these self made... A guy tried that on me from my class smh, so I pretty much ignored it, or gave goofy comebacks to make it a game. Damn shame though that some guys would do or say anything for a quick fuck. Not worth it
