If a guy tries to eavesdrop on your conversations what does it mean?

He always does that. it's sort of annoying.

I remember he would always try to sit beside me, eavesdrop on my conversations etc.

I wouldn't know what to make of it.

Even years later I caught him doing that, and the moment he realized something negative about me, he freaked out.

I mean it's not his business to eavesdrop on my conversations what's his problem? Is he... jealous of me or something?

It's like he's out to get me, except he doesn't care enough to do anythign.

For example, he heard me tell my friend something he clearly didn't approve of (notice how this is NONE of his business). He let out a cluck of his tongue almost instantly which surprised me.

Then all I did was look at the guy and he had the nerve to roll his eyes at me.

What's his problem? I seriously don't get him
