Was he showing off his new car?

So this guy who I've made consistent eye contact with for a long time now but never talked to seems to have gotten a new car. I noticed because on my way into the building I think he saw me and he drove really fast, I could hear the engine so obviously I looked to see why it was so loud and I it was him. On my way out an hour later he just happened to be coming back and he looked at me and did the same thing again. Why did he do that?

Great thanks for the answers so far. so I'm gunna be honest here and I ask you to do the same please. I do really find him attractive, he just tries to hard sometimes from what I see. But anyway does him showing off indicate he has interest in me or could it just be he just wants to show off for god knows what?

some guys act like this , they honestly think people are impressed by how fast and how loud they can drive. its serious bonehead behaviour

Yeah I'm surprised he thinks id be impressed by that. I mean he doesn't know me ofc but anyone that sees me regularly can tell I'm reserved and quiet and not into that stuff.
