Me and guy friend keep making out when drunk. Does this mean something?

So basically, I'm good friends with this guy and we have known each other for about 2 years now. Anyway, we have always had a chemistry but for a year and a half of this I had boyfriend so he never made a move. He's also a pretty awkward person. He has always been protective and took care of me. Since I've been single, we have made out whilst drunk on 3 separate occasions (multiple times throughout these nights) but he never asks me out or messages me the next day. Does he like me or is he just doing it because he is drunk?

I should probably mention that we are a close knit group of 3 with one other guy who gets jealous every time this guy or I pull anybody at all respectively. Our other friend has issues which make him very annoyed about this because he struggles to pull and he has kicked off at us each time this happened so I suppose this may stop him from pursuing me

Sounds a bit complicated, especially with this 3 person dynamic. When you put the pieces of the puzzle together, it sounds like:

Makeout guy likes you as more than a friend.

Makeout guy is shy and is afraid to tell you about his true feelings for you when he is sober.

These makeout sessions are becoming a pattern, but oddly it never escalates to sex and/or dating.

Other male friend gets jealous when he knows that other people are experiencing intimacy and he is not experiencing the same thing.

Makeout guy has yet another reason to avoid pursuing you because he doesn't want other male friend to be upset.

He likes you, but is too shy or awkward, like you said, when sober to do anything about it. Like you are partially friendzoned or something. When drunk, a lot of social and behavioral inhibitors are turned off, so it's green light for something more.

The decisions people make when they're drunk are not made with any rational thought in them. It's possible it could be just a drunken impulse. If you're that curious though, ask him about it.
