Ginger guys a turn off? Need honesty girls.

I'm part ginger, not full red head. My hair is combination of brown, red and a little blonde. When I was younger I was teased relentlessly about this. I even at one point when I was 13 would look at my hair in the mirror and look for "red hair follicles" to pull out.

Being a masculine, straight guy in my late 20s I got VERY LITTLE room to go around asking/wondering about my hair color w/o someone questioning my sexuality. In fact sometimes I am glad to still have hair (I know guys who are balding).

I'm also pretty fair complected. About a step away from being Irish (but I'm German).

For a good part of my life I bleached and highlighted my hair. It helped build up my confidence. I always hated being part red head. It don't like my fair complexion (I tan occasionally). But now I'm getting older I can't get away with this as much w/o being labeled gay/immature.

I'm thinking about letting my natural hair grow out but I need to know the truth. Red hair is not that attractive is it ladies? Some you probably don't want kids with reddish hair huh?

I just think that teasing someone about being a redhead could almost be racist when you think about. Black people have more pigment in their skin giving them the darker complexion. Redhead people have different hair follicles. It's a genetic/physical

difference. Not as obvious as having dark skin...but still.
