Why does he avoid me now he has a girlfriend?

I had a casual/short-term relationship with this guy a couple of years ago that ended when we decided we just weren't right for each other. We lost touch for a while, but became friends again at the end of last year, as I still think he's a cool guy even if I wouldn't want to date him long-term. A couple of months ago he just stopped talking to me out of nowhere, and he now has a girlfriend. The only time he'll ever acknowledge me now is when he's alone; if the girlfriend is with him, it's like I don't exist. This is weird to me because he's still friends with two other exes of his, and I've even seen him hanging out with them and his new girl. So it's basically just me he acts weirdly around. What's his deal? I am no threat to this new girl, so I don't understand why he's avoiding me.

Maybe he's just doing it for her... i mean u never know how some girlfriends are like they might get jealous you know so... maybe he thinks that the best way for that not to happen is to avoid you... honestly it's something that should happen only in the beginnings of relationships but even then not really... becauae if that's his girlfriend and he's committed then he should be able to have female friends like you and his girlfriend accept that... but yea u never know his girlfriend might've said don't talk to you... or maybe he decided it on his own since he got a girlfriend... hey some people change fr they change all the time... all you can do is move forward.

Maybe it's not him but her. She may feel like you are a threat and doesn't want him to really communicate with you bc she might feel like she could loose you to him. Of maybe he feels like if he did talk to you it could re spark something and he doesn't wanna put the new girl through any troubles
