It's kind of hard to give more context but the conversation was about how he says I make him take a hard look at himself & really evaluate himself. I'm his first real relationship. He said he's always avoided difficult things or conflict & I don't allow him to. I always make him eventually talk it out. He said it's been an adjustment for him. But he's still with me so it can't be all bad, right? :)

It helps if you'd tell me a bit more on background text but usually it's a good way.

It's kind of implying that you impressed them, or they just really like you as a person.

Or it can mean that you're intolerable, or that the don't really like you unless they were saying that out of annoyance etc.

It would really help if you gave come background info, but usually people say that in a good way. I've been told that several times before from different people, so that has a lot of different meanings

Very, very good. We wouldn't say something like that if we meant it in a bad way; we're more straightforward than that, and we'd just insult you instead.
