Some times it is to feed of the attention from jeloisy, other times that jelousy makes them feel unique like they can't be replaced, other times it is to spark inside you that motivation to go and capture him and fight for him (guys fall in this one many times), other times could be just testing you to see how you react, or maybe just something to piss you off a little and is like a harmless joke. Depends on what he's saying about the other girls.

If he says friendly stuff about them he is just coversating with you.

If he says he's off banging them then he's letting you that he is sexually active with other women. Don't take this behaviour the wrong way. It is common at the start of a relationship.

Most guys think getting a girl jelous is a good way to having success and it works in small doses but if he's doing it too much it will start to piss the girl off!

Maybe the girl made him jealous... but more then likely it is just him talking, most guys i know just speak openly cause they are used to talking with friends who dont care about his female relationships.
