Why would a guy who has a girlfriend be jealous of another woman talking to a guy?

This guy cheated with me a couple of years ago. We had sex once while he's been in a relationship. (it's bad I know) I usually see him where he works because he works at a store that I go to. A couple of months ago when he saw me talking to another guy (his coworker) he came over to where we were and interrupted our conversation. He overheard this guy name Rick (his coworker) telling me that he had done something fun. And then he came over and stood between us saying (how was it?) I don't know why he would do this.

Today when I saw him I told him I got a job working at a museum. And I told him I wasn't sure about it because it's really classy and elegant. And then he said I'm classy and elegant.

Probably just him being territorial, a lot of people don’t like sharing their “toys” (even if they aren’t attached / have feelings)

It can happen, especially with guys. Men are territorial beings, they can even be territorial with their female friends who they have 0 romantic feelings for.

That doesn't make sense, if a guy has 0 feelings for the woman there would be no need to be territorial over her. Especially a man who has a girlfriend. But this guy and I have actually slept together once.

Well a lot of my guy friends get territorial over me or my other girl friends. I think it’s just in their nature. I also had a friends with benefits that would get territorial if he sees me talking to other guys but did he have any romantic feelings for me? Nope. We just hooked up and that’s it. It’s not that deep.

Just because it wasn't that deep in your situation doesn't mean that's the case with mine. You're saying that the guy didn't have romantic feelings for you. Yet if he didn't have ANY kind of feelings for you. He wouldn't have cared about you talking to another guy.

Why would a guy be territorial over a woman if he has no kind of feelings for her at all? It makes no sense.

Yeah it wasn’t that deep in my case. He did have feelings for me but it was just lust, or a crush at most (bc he was attracted enough to me to be hooking up with me lol). He also was in a relationship and we hooked up while he was on a break. If he did have actual feelings for me he probably would’ve left his girl to be with me. I’m glad he didn’t tho.

But guys are wired differently than us girls, they don’t have to do things solely based on their emotions. A lot of guys who are territorial tend to be driven by their ego not their feelings. Now guys who are protective might be different, they’re probably acting based on their feelings of wanting to protect someone they care about.
