Starting a relationship with a cautious guy?

So I've recently become good friends with a guy and I have feelings for him and all of my friends think that he likes me as well. In a couple of days he is coming over to my house so that we can just spend time hanging out together before we go spend time together with friends at night.

When he comes to my house we also decided that on that day we would have a talk about where we stand with each other since we are both confused and our texting didn't help to clear things out. My friend said that he is somewhat cautious and slow in relationships so I don't want to put any pressure on him but I do want to start a relationship. How can I go about it? He said he reciprocates my feelings about what I said in terms of how we get along well and that I love spending time with him but we are yet to sort out the apparent love interest that my friends think is occurring and is therefore what we are going to talk about.

Obviously I don't want to pressure him into one but I'm pretty sure he likes me but is it is the cautious side that is preventing him. Is there anyway that I can go about talking to him to come to a mutual agreement that a relationship is best?

Honestly, I'm a cautious guy and it took me a long time to ask out my crush. If you're certain that you both like each other, invite him over and either talk to him about it or make a move.

He is coming over to hang out and we are going to talk about it. I just don't know what move to make or how to make it

He said he likes to keep things slow, so going in for a kiss is risky. What I would suggest is that while you are talking to him about this, get up close next to him and either try to hold his hand or place yours on his thigh.

Do that even though we are talking about where we are at with each other?
