How SHY girls act & what are your thought on your crush?

So.. I'm curious because lately I've being seating next to this girl in class that I like. I don't know her and I haven't spoke to her but her personality doesn't show that she's the shy "type" because she talks with her friends & make jokes & make comments but her behavior with me shows that she's kind of shy around me, she haven't talk to me but whenever I say something or do something she kind of smile to me and laugh and when she gets to the class she sits next to me but don't do a thing. I really don't understand shyy girls. So.. 1. What are your thoughts when your next to the guy you like? 2. Do shy girls avoid being near or next to the guy the like?3. Do shy girls avoid eye contact with the guy they like? 4. What do you think when you see the guy you like? & 5. What do you hope to happen when your with your crush?

1. I become VERY shy when I'm next to a guy that I like. I worry about saying something silly or just making the wrong first impression out of nervousness.

2. Of course shy girls want to sit next to the guy they like, unless they are shy to the extreme! But it's a way for us to feel kinda close to him even tho we're probably too shy to actually say anything.

3. With the eye contact, really depends on the girl. Some girls may avoid it out of nervousness while others may stare at you trying to remember the english language so they can actually make progress and start a convo with you lol.

4. When I first meet him I'll probably just see how he acts to try and get a generalization of his personality. After all that's what matters the most. And I'll probably be thinking something I could do to get his attention that's kind of low key and casual without making an ass of myself.

5. I would hope that he would talk to me so I can get to know him better. I (and probably most other shy girls) prefer guys to make the first move.

okay I am supr shy and this sounds just like me ha ha so if she dusnt seem usually shy with other people that aren't her friends she prob likes you but if she's shy around other people including you and she just not shy with her friends when I'm next to the guy I like I like secretly watch him real close like to c how he reacts to other girls and if he likes them or not I try to get close to the guy I like but really really REALLY descretely and I can't always do it yes I try not to make eye contact because I don't want them to now I like them weird ik but shy people are coomplicated wen I c them I just like watch them and kinda like watch them really discreetly I wish he'd come up and start talking to me like I no him as a friend I want to be happy and laugh with them wen were talking and then keep talking to me and eventually ask me out but with my crush I guess its to late I think he liked me but I was acting way to shy around him only and I prob blew I think he's dating this other girl now and ya... :(

I'm a lot older than you but still shy around guys I like. Oh and just so you know, crushes don't stop as you get older and you still act and feel like a fool...lol.

In answer to your questions...

#1 - Happy thoughts mixed with excitement and lots of nervousness.

#2 - Sometimes we avoid them but mostly we want to be near them.

#3 - I've avoided eye contact once in a while. But just got over a crush with an ultra confident guy who liked holding long eye contact with me. He would catch my eye and hold it until he was ready to stop. It was very intense to say the least but kind of made me all schoolgirl silly and gave me chills. One time we were in church and he caught my glance across the church. He looked at me so intense that my stomach dropped and I said, "oh sh**" :) He really knew what he was doing...lol. When I answer questions on here, I always tell guys to use lots of eye contact because it has such an effect on us girls.

#4 - I get butterflies in my stomach. I get nervous and happy and excited. I think about what it would be like to be his g/f.

#5 - Well my crush is over but I did wish that he would grow a pair and ask me out but it never happened.

It's funny but I've always wondered what went on in his head during our crush. Would you do me a favor? Can you answer your own questions but for yourself - meaning can you take out the "shy girl" in your questions and answer them as if I was asking you? I really want to know what goes in guys' head when they have a crush! Thanks so much! :)

Well, 1. for me I checked her out a bit. & We want you to check us out or say something but we don't get shy we get pomped. 2. We don't avoid being near you at all but sometimes we don't wanna make it so obvious(ego) I don't why. 3. No. We like eye contact the most but sometime when you don't notice us or play hard to get we stop for you to start thinking "why is he not checking me out" 4. A lot of things like when I have a big crush tha's all day long jja specially when we're driving 5. Uff a Lot

Most guys need to be 99% sure it'll be OK to approach, just good eye contact alone doesn't cut it, it's good but a little bit more doesn't hurt, he may of seemed ultra confident and asking a girl out doesn't require balls, approaching and flirting does, think about it, a girl is flirting with you and makes great eye contact, what has he got to loose? But to approach and all he has is good eye contact, that's a bit more tricky, help him out a little. It's your loss as much as his ;)

Thanks Slaine. Your advice is good! But my crush is in his early 40s, and divorced with children. So obviously he's asked girls out in the past....lol. Why didn't he ask me? :( I gave him all the right signals, returned eye contact, etc. I am shy but I would have thought at his age that would be no problem to handle.
