Well, if you want the scientific reason, it is evolution. Our male ancestors were programmed by instinct to impregnate as many females as possible. (It is how the species has survived for several hundred thousand years.)
Males, in this connection, were basically looking for females most capable of bearing and nurturing children. Large tits were an indication to the male that the woman would be capable of feeding her young.

Oh, by the way, there is an equivalent on the woman's side. A study by Victoria University in Australia found that, although women are more visual, they are turned on seeing a naked guy with an erection. (They were NOT turned on if the guy was not erect.)

While our male ancestors wanted lots of women, the women wanted the male who had the healthiest sperm and would be capable of warding off rival males and predators to protect her and her baby. An erect penis was then the way a man would display. It showed the female that the male was virile and ready to mate.
So they all lived happily ever after, and several hundred thousand years later, all eyes - male and female - are focused down.
In the words of many female friends I've known on a deeper level "everyone likes boobs" and what i find hilarious is that even science sometimes admits despite it's best theories on that question you asked... even they don't know... as for myself in my experience it's like this deep inner attraction... like... it's hard to explain since i can admit it's not really my choice to like boobs but... instead it's like this naturally occurring event that stimulates my mind and body and of course my dick.
though at the same time I don't think boob size matters (just in case that's what you're subconsciously answering, i can't say[i wanted to cover all bases])
anyways i wonder how many guys agree with me about boob size not mattering and even my personal opinion that small boobs are cute ;D especially if a girl is somehow shy about it... at the same time a large pair of tits is also pretty nice.

As someone who's both trans and bi, you might expect me to have some stunning insight that will explain everything in great clarity.
Well... um... the best that I can say that besides being nice to look at (duh), there's the whole experience of fondling them. For me, it was a totally different experience than fondling my own is now (even disregarding the pleasure aspect). Now, it's just an everyday thing that feels good. Nice, but not very exciting. Evolutionary reasons: males were attracted by females with bigger butts and wider hips, since they generally provide easier child birth (not the ass but the wider hips). But our ancestors started to walk upright, ergo our eyes and therefor field of view moved upwards, there for breasts being in it and becoming the new eye candy for males. Females with bigger breast were more desirable because they resampled butts more. Congrats you have a butt on your chest.
Another reason is that bigger breast are subconciously associated with higher milk volume to feed offsprings, ergo associated with fertility.

You may answer this question with more logic. Would men be less obsessed with breast if they had it more? Answer is absolutely not. Every guy I know that is obsessed with breast, and perfectly CAPABLE of getting breast all day long, remains the same. Our obsessions are OUR obsessions. They have nothing to do with what we can or cannot get. Means: My friends; obsessions are not "less" than before.
Regardless of that, anything you can't have (in life) - you want. What she said is being implemented in any aspect or subject in life. It has nothing to do with breast.

I remember when I was maybe 8 years old watching an old episode of Wonder Woman. I was transfixed with her assets and too young to know why. I do not recall being influenced by other women's.
