So one of my really close guy friends came over and I had just gotten out of the shower so I was in my room naked. My older brother let him in and sent him up to my room because he always comes over whenever he feels like it. I had my back turned to the door but when I heard it open I saw my friend standing there looking at me. I tried to cover myself and told him to close the door then he did. He laughed afterwards and told me I have a nice body so I shouldn’t be ashamed but I still feel embarrassed. Is it a big deal or does this happen to everyone at least once?

Not sure why you would regard this as a big deal. A little embarrassing maybe if you are shy about such things, but if anything, he paid you a compliment and from the sound of it was very gracious and polite.

If nothing else, that guy sounds pretty nice. For what it is worth, growing up, we had a backyard pool. Sometimes, when I was in high school, if the parental units were out, we would have friends over - guys and gals - we would go skinny dipping.

Nothing sexual ever happened, but there was a lot of scoping out. We were teens, it was high school, so do the math.

Seriously, though, it sounds like an honest mistake, he was polite. This is small potatoes.

It's probably not a big deal. Be observant of any signs in the future, though. Is your old friend now more "interested" in you? If so, it could be the "visual". Hey, maybe your old friend will realize he wants you, and you can decide how to move on that, or not. Yes, you can be embarrassed, but not forever, right? Things like this happen. The question is - now what? Time will tell. Do you want your old friend to find you attractive in that way?

I’m not sure. I used to have a crush on him tbh but I was too shy to say anything and he never asked me out so I got over it. Things are different now and I feel like we know too much about each other to date.
