I've never heard of something like this before and I agree with what someone over here said that it's bullshit.
I'm considered very attractive and I get a LOT of attention from guys everywhere I go. Sometimes it even makes me uncomfortable. If you're attractive you're bound to get attention. It's impossible not to.
Intimidation is when guys will give you attention but won't approach you/make a move on you. Like someone here said, it's most likely that only you consider her very attractive but guys don't.
"time wasters" count as guys too. That right there is the answer. She does get attention, she just as really high standards.
Solution: When she see's a hot guy that meets her standards, she should approach him. Not wait for him to approach her.

She is cute I would date. Maybe guys are too scared to go up to her or they are not that comfortable going up to her.
Because they think she's probably conceited or bitchy or out of their league which is not the case at all. All people are different, I've found there to be more conceited less attractive people than really attractive people.
We guys are just as affraid if not more than girls to be turned down so if i Saw a beautiful girl out in public i wouldent dare talk to her and i would obviously think that show already had a 10/10 Boyfriend
She might make a bitchy face unintentionally. I wouldn't approach someone who looks like they just kicked a scorpion stinger first unless I knew them.
There is no such thing as a woman such as you described who doesn't get tons of attention from guys, UNLESS she has personality problems. My best guess is she is a feminist with a chip on her shoulder. I don't care how good looking she is... no man wants a feminist.

We can't make assumptions unless we know how she treats guys. We all don't know how she has treated guys, not even you. Not saying she is, but let's say she plays guys hard. We wouldn't know if she played guys unless we knew what she did in person. I know you are friends with her, but she might not be telling you information about her past experience with guys.
It's probably because most guys figure it's a waste of time and there's no point in going after her cause where in a world if a men is seen as ugly with a good looking girl, the girl would constantly be pressured to dumb him because she is worth more than him.

Most guys lack the confidence of thinking they can get an attractive woman also it depends on the woman personality, is she down to earth, do she thinks she's above everyone else, etc
It goes both ways, we assume the opposite sex is attractive enough to break off the relationship with you and quickly initiate a new one with someobe way more attractive than yourself.
